Happy New Year!

Good morning, everyone! I pray that everyone had a wonderful and safe Christmas! My husband and I were able to do a LOT of traveling on Christmas, and were able to see both sides of our family. It was great! I am also thankful that we were able to make it home before the snow storm hit and snowed us in!

I made this card a while ago, but it's appropriate to share with you now!

Are you doing anything fun for New Years? We have two different gatherings to attend tomorrow. I always feel like we're so busy! But they will both be a lot of fun and I am really looking forward to it.

Have a safe and happy New Year! See you next year! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #25

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

Welcome to the last day of the 25 Cards of Christmas! I had a lot of fun creating and sharing these cards with you, and I hope that you have enjoyed them! The last card in the series is actually a birthday card!

As much fun as it is to get gifts and to enjoy Christmas cookies, Jesus is the true reason for the season! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

This card features a recycled Christmas card from last year. I attached the image onto a kraft card base, and then used Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" and "Plus One" stamp sets to decorate around the image.

I pray that you and your family have a wonderful and safe Christmas day.

 Merry Christmas! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #24

After [the Magi] had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. - Matthew 2:9-11

Merry Christmas Eve, everyone! Here is the 24th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas!

This card feature's a few different Lawn Fawn stamp sets (except for the large star - I'm not sure where that stamp came from). I used "Sweet Christmas," "Quinn's ABCs," and "Smitty's ABCs." To make the lines around the star, I used the lines from the "Bon Voyage" stamp set and the dots from "Sweet Christmas." I then added stickles to the lines, stars, and the word "star" to make everything sparkle and shine!

I am also entering this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Make it Shine! There are only a few days left to submit a card!

I hope that you have a wonderful Christmas Eve! I am looking forward to the Christmas Eve service at church and to enjoy some Christmas traditions with my family! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #23

Hello everyone! I hope that your weekend is going well and that you're all ready for Christmas! I am here to share the 23rd card in the 25 Cards of Christmas!

That background paper is from the Jolly and Bright pack by Recollections. The sentiment is stamped with Lawn Fawn's "Smitty's ABCs" stamp set. For the boughs of holly, I used the leaf in the "So Thankful" set and the air bubbles in the "Critters In the Sea" set! The different sized bubbles worked perfect to create different sized berries! :)

I am also entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge! The challenge is to make something Christmassy, so don't forget to play along! The  winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp, so get crafting!

Well, thanks for stopping by! There are only two cards left in the series! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #22

Good morning, everyone! Once I get done with my shift at work, I am free for the weekend! Yay! Anyways, here is the 22nd card in the 25 Cards of Christmas!

This is one of my favorites! For this card, I used Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. I stamped the sentiment in the middle and then stamped the treats above and below the sentiment. I colored the treats with markers and coated each one with Frosted Lace stickles! (It's hard to see the glitter, but it is there!)

I am also entering this card into the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Make it Shine! You have until Wednesday, December, 26th to create a card for this challenge and the winner will receive a stamp set from Lawn Fawn. Woo hoo!!

Well, enjoy your weekend! Christmas is right around the corner! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #21

Welcome to the 25 Cards of Christmas! Today is card number 21!

I went a little crazy with the white ink along the edges. Opps! :)

Anyways, this card feature's paper from the Jolly and Bright collection by Recollections. I trimmed the squares from one of the patterned paper included in the set! Then I used Recollection's washi tape to hold two squares and foam tape for the center one. I finished it by stamping the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set!

Will you have a white Christmas this year? I wasn't sure that we would here, but last night it started to snow! Now there is a light covering on everything outside. It is so pretty! :)

Have a great Friday! Stop by tomorrow to see the next card in the series!

25 Cards of Christmas #20

Good morning everyone! Only 5 days left until Christmas! Are you ready? :)

Here is the 20th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas series!

The red patterned paper is from Recollection's Jolly and Bright set. Then, I hand drew and cutout a Christmas tree and decorated it with images from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. The gumdrops are the perfect size for Christmas lights! Then, I stamped and cutout the sentiment which is from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" set. I also added some stickles to the edge of the tree and some glossy accents to give the lights some shine!

Thanks for stopping by! And thank you for all of your comments! They always brighten my day! :)

CASolgy Guest Designer!

Good morning everyone! This week I have the privilege to be the guest designer at the CASology Blog!! I am so excited about this opportunity! Thank you Melissa, and the rest of the girls for allowing me to be a part of your team!

This week's challenge is all about stars! So, I created this card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" and "A Birdie Told Me" stamp sets. I stamped the stars onto green and yellow card stock, cut the stars out, and arranged them into a Christmas tree shape. Then I stamped the sentiment below the Christmas tree! This did take a little bit of time, but I think it's so cute! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to create a card for the current CASology Challenge! You have until Sunday at Noon (CST) to play along!

P.S. This is also the 18th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas! We're getting close to the end! :)

I finished it off by stamping Merry Christmas below the trees! The trees, stars, and sentiment come from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" and "Happy Everything" stamp sets!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Did you do anything fun this weekend? :)

25 Cards of Christmas #14

Happy Friday! I am back again to share with you the 14th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas series!

I like to think that this is my husband and I walking in the snow! :)

Anyways, this card feature's Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. The background paper is, of course, from the Jolly and Bright collection by Recollections. I added some stickles to the snow banks to give them some shimmer! I also curved the sentiment so that it fit with the snow bank.

Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? My husband and I are going to visit some friends for a game night tomorrow, and I might also do some baking! Come back tomorrow to see the next Christmas card (it's one of my favorites!).

Anyways, here is today's card:

To make the presents, I used Lawn Fawn's "Bake Me a Cake" stamp set! I used one of the layers for the cake to create the top and sides of the gifts. Then I another layer to create the bottom side. The bows come from the "Happily Ever After" set, and the sentiment is from the "Happy Everything" set.

I am also entering this card into the current CASology Challenge, which is all about gifts!

Hello everyone! I am back again with the 12th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas, as well as another entry into the 10 Minute Craft Dash!

This card features paper from the Jolly and Bright paper pack by Recollections. I cut out the Peace tag from one of the papers and attached strips of some of the other patterned papers in the set. This card took about 6 minutes to create.

The current 10 Minute Craft Dash is all about featuring the color Red! There are still a few days left to play, so hurry up! There is a super cute prize pack available for the winner, too!

Lawnscaping Challenge #47

Good evening! I wanted to stop by quickly to share a card that I made for the current Lawnscaping Challenge!

The challenge was to use the colors turquoise, kraft, and red. So, this is what I made:

I stamped clouds from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set in white ink onto a kraft base. I adhered a white piece of paper with some washi tape by Freckled Fawn. Then, I stamped and fussy cut the birds, speech bubble, hearts, and circles and attached them to the card. To create the circles, I stamped the round stamp from "Sweet Christmas" onto some red patterned paper, and then used a hole punch to cut out the circles. That made it super easy!

There is still a little bit of time left to play along with the Lawnscaping Challenge! The winner recieves a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp, so don't forget to play along! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #11

Welcome back to the 25 Cards of Christmas! I can't believe that we're already at card number 11! Here is today card:

For this card, I, once again, used paper from the Jolly and Bright paper pack by Recollections. I cut different patterned paper and attached them along the bottom edge. Then, I fussy cut the peace tag and attached it with foam tape to make it stand out a little bit. This card would be very easy to recreate with some different patterned washi tape! I finished off this card by adding some white ink along the edges.

Thanks for stopping by! Stop back tomorrow to see the 12th card! :)

The background paper and the snowman come from the Jolly and Bright paper pack by Recollections. I attached the paper to a white card base, and then stamped the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. The snowman just makes me smile! :)

Well, I hope that you have a great Monday! Tonight, my husband and I will continue one of our Christmas traditions by watching the movie "It's a Wonderful Life." Have you ever seen that movie? It's one of my favorites! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #9

Happy Sunday! 25 Cards of Christmas continues today with the 9th card in the series!

The picture is actually from a Christmas card that I received last year! I thought it was so cute that I kept it and used it for a card this year. :) To adhere the picture, I used some green washi tape from Recollections on the corners. I also inked the edge of this card in white ink.

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday! I have to get ready to cheer for my Steelers! (and do some laundry - boo!) :)

25 Cards of Christmas #8

Hello and welcome to the 8th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas series! This one is so simple and is definitely one of my favorites. :)

The tag is cut from patterned paper in the Jolly and Bright paper pack by Recollections. I attached the tag with some foam tape and then tied on a red bow to make the tag look like a hanging ornament.

I am also entering this card into the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge - feature Red! I don't have an exact time for this completed project, but I guarantee that it was less than 5 minutes! I hope that counts! :) Even if it doesn't, you should still check out the amazing projects in this challenge. I am always impressed at what people can do in 10 minutes!

Well, enjoy your weekend! Unfortunately, I have to work this morning, but this afternoon I get to go bowling and to Dairy Queen! I think that evens out! :)

Today's card is fitting for the Hanging of the Greens tonight! (And I didn't even plan this!!)

This card features paper from the Jolly and Bright collection by Recollections. The hollies are cut from that collection as well! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's "Quinns ABC" and "Sweet Christmas" stamp sets. And I also used some green washi tape from Recollections! Is this card green enough? :)

LF CHA Winter 2013 Challenge!

Hello again, everyone!

I just wanted to share a quick card that I made this week for the Lawn Fawn CHA Winter 2013 Challenge!

After I stamped the waves onto the paper, I cut the blue paper a little bit longer than the card base so that the waves hang off the edge. Then I paper pieced the critters and hats! I also added some glitter to the birthday hats and the air bubbles to give it some sparkle! (Glitter is so much fun!)

Thanks for stopping by! There are some really awesome projects included in this challenge, so check them out as well! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #2

Hi everyone! Welcome to 25 Cards of Christmas #2! Here is the second Christmas card!

The sentiment and strips of paper are all from the Jolly and Bright paper pack from Recollections at Michaels. I got the paper last year, so I'm not sure if it is still being sold. After adhering everything to the card, I ran some white ink along the edge! So fun!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Today my husband and I are decorating the Christmas tree and getting all of our decorations out! Are you doing anything fun today!

Come back tomorrow for the next card! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #1

Good morning everyone! I can't believe that it is already December 1st!

This December, I decided to share 25 Christmas cards, one each day leading up until Christmas. It was a fun little challenge for myself, and now I have most of my Christmas cards already made!

Here is the first card that I wanted to share with you!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. That set is so cute for making Christmas cards! There is the ginger bread house, plus it includes so many little stamps to decorate the house! For this card, I paper pieced the decorations onto a kraft house. The sentiment and snowflakes are also included in the set. I also added some glitter onto the snowbanks to add some sparkle! :)

I hope you like the first Christmas card! Come back tomorrow for the second card! :)

Lawnscaping #45

Good evening, everyone! I hope that everyone had a good Monday! I enjoyed a day off from work today! Although it wasn't very productive, it was very relaxing, which is exactly what I needed! :)

I have a card that I created today for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Dust 'Em Off!

The challenge is to create something from your stash that you haven't used in a while. I was looking through my stash and I noticed that I haven't created anything with the apple from Lawn Fawn's "My Silly Valentine" set, so that is what I did!

So, there you go! What do you think? Thanks for stopping by, and I'll be back tomorrow with another Lawnscaping Challenge card!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! I know this is a little bit early, but I might not have power for the next few days, thanks to Hurricane Sandy. It is raining a lot right now, and the wind is starting to pick up. I pray that everyone on the East Coast stays safe and that we won't be without power for too long!

Here is my Halloween card for this year! The dress, hat, broom, and stars have Stickles added for a little bit of glitter and shine! Stickles are so much fun!

I hope that you have a safe Halloween! Thanks for stopping by!

10 Minute Craft Dash #5

Happy Friday, everyone! I hope that your week went well and that you have some fun things planned for the weekend! Unfortunately, I have to work this weekend. Boo! But, it will be fun after that!

Here is a card that I made for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge which used these colors:

These colors are so cute together! Here is the card that I made:

This card took 8 minutes and 58 seconds to create. I already had the larger hearts cut out from a previous project, so that helped to save some time. The crowns have some stickle accents for the jewels, too!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #44

Happy Saturday, everyone! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? I have a ton of activities to go to! I had an apple festival this morning, a frisbee tournament to watch this afternoon, and golf and go-cart family fun day planned for tomorrow! I can't wait! :)

I have a card to share with you today for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - try a new technique!

I struggled with this challenge for a while, trying to think of a good technique. Then, I decided to try common techniques that I don't usually use in my cards. So, the techniques that I used were coloring my images with markers and adding Stickles! Here is my card:

I was inspired to make this card after seeing a card from Chari Moss (I think it was from last year). She has some great cards, so check them out!

The hat, socks, and broom were colored with Martha Stewart craft markers. The stars weren't colored because I already had them cut out beforehand. Then, I added Stickles to everything! I should also tell you that I really, really like Stickles and that you'll be seeing them around for a while now! :)

I am also entering this card into the Paper Crafts October 2012 Gallery Challenge! The challenge is to create a card or project that is Halloween related! There are some great cards in that challenge!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your weekend! :)
