Congrats!

Good morning! I hope that you had a nice weekend! My husband and I spend a bunch of time doing yard work! Yuck! But it's necessary to do! :)

I have a card to share this morning that I made for my sister-in-law and her fiance!! They got engaged a few weeks ago and we are so, so, so excited for them!

This card features some new goodies that I recently received! The papers are from Dear Lizzy's "5th and Frolic" collection. I also used Lawn Fawn's "Cole's ABCs" die cuts and added some stamped hearts and clear sequins. I had a pink clothes pin that was extra from my baby shower and I tied some twine onto it as well. I really like how this turned out and it's a great layout for other cards as well!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #80 - Mini

Happy Monday! Are you stuffed with chocolate from the weekend? We definitely have enough chocolate in the house to last us for a long time!

Anyways, it is time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! The current challenge is to create something mini - mini cards, mini sets, mini books, mini whatevers! :)

Here is the card set that I created for this challenge:

These cards are made from the "Stitched Journaling Card" dies! They also feature Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Scalloped Border," and "Cole's ABCs," dies, as well as various patterned papers from Lawn Fawn. Here is a close up of the individual cards:

I think these little cards are so cute, and I can't wait to send them to someone! :)

This challenge is sponspored by Lawn Fawn and the winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice! You have until April 30th to play along! :)

Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone!! I am "hopping" in to share a fun Easter card with you today! This card was created a while ago and recently published in the Paper Crafts Stamp It! Techniques, Volume 2, which was available in January!! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Happy Easter" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets. I used a grass punch by Fiskars, but you could also use the grass die from Lawn Fawn! I made it look like the bunny was hopping through the grass by using a shadow technique.

To get this look, I made a mask of the bunny from a post-it note. Then I stamped the top layer of the bunny, laid down the mask, and re-stamped the bunny slightly to the left without re-inking the stamp. I did that one more time, again without re-inking the stamp. It is such a fun technique to create "movement" in your cards!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a blessed Easter with family and friends. He is risen! He is risen indeed!! :)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend is here! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? It's suppose to be really nice here, so we're going to enjoy the weather and visit a bunch of family members! Plus, we'll get to eat lots of yummy food at our early Easter dinner. Win, win, win!! :)

I have wanted to play along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenges for a LONG time and I finally got the chance! Granted, I have had this card made for a while now, but I think it's finally time to share it with you!

This card features Paper Smooches' "Hullabaloo" stamp set. I really like that it includes a solid image of the birthday presents and banners because it makes it super easy to color the images! I first stamped the outline of the images, stamped the colored inside, and then cut each image out. The birthday presents are attached with foam tape and the banner is machine sewn together and also attached with foam tape. I added some glitter ribbon to the ends of the banner and some stickles to give it some sparkle!! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you can enjoy some warmer weather this weekend, too! :)

Lawnscaping #79 - Try a New Technique

Happy Monday everyone! Time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! :)

The challenge is to create a card/project using a technique that you have never tried before! It sounds intimidating, but it's actually a great way to practice some new skills and maybe find a new technique that you enjoy!

The technique that I tried is partial die cutting! Here is my card:

The card did not turn out as well as I had hoped, but it was a great technique to learn! I taped the "smile" die cuts onto the yellow paper and only die cut until I was close to the bottom of the letters. That way they are still attached to the yellow paper! Then, I (carefully!) used an x-acto knife to cut a straight line between the letters and to the edge of the paper.

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Good Fortune" stamp set, gold sparkle Lawn Trimmings, Stitched Scalloped Border die, and Cole's ABCs die. I also used the heart die from the "Trim the Tree" set to die cut a heart from cork! That is also a new technique that I tried! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great Monday! :)
