Lawnscaping Challenge #28

Good evening everyone! I have a card to share for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week! I made this card last week but this is the first chance I had to post it. I'm recovering from surgery that I had a few days ago and it was hard to find time to take pictures and upload everything, but I found some time this evening. I'm still feeling a little bit sore, but I should be feeling much better in a few days.

Anyways, the challenge this week was to create a card using some form of distress. This was a challenge because I really like nice and clean cards, but I was able to come up with this card:

I decided to make this card for a friend of ours who is having a baby in September! They don't know if they're having a boy or a girl yet, so I distressed some pink and blue paper behind the baby cutout. Here is a close up of the distressed paper:

This was a really neat challenge and I'm glad that I did it! I might start incorporating some more distressing techniques into my cards! Thanks for looking!!

Happy Birthday, Jordyn!

Today my husband and I going to a birthday party for a super cute little girl named Jordyn! She is so such a joy to be around and always has a smile on her face. A few months ago, my husband and I had dinner with her family and after dinner we played Scrabble. She was my teammate and now every time I see her, she always asks if I remember playing Scrabble with her. So, for her birthday, I made her a Scrabble card!!

I hope she likes the card! Happy Birthday, Jordyn!

CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #38

Good evening! I'm here to share a quick card that I made for the CAS-Friday challenge this week! The challenge was to make a card inspired by a movie. Here is my card:

Can you guess what movie I chose? The fox and the hound! The Create-a-Critter cartridge from Cricut worked perfect for this card! I'm so excited to send this to a friend. I think it's cute! :)
