Lawnscaping Challenge #32

Good evening! I hope everyone's week is going well so far. We're one day closer to the weekend!

I have another card to share with you for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week.

One of my friends from church, Matthew, will be turning 2 in a few weeks, so I made him this card! He's going to enjoy it because he really likes farm animals!

I just now realized that the "Happy Birthday Matthew!" is a little bit crooked. Opps! It's still cute! I am also entered this card to the Young Crafters Unite challenge! This months challenge is to made a card without coloring! This farm scene is completely paper pieced and stamped! It took a little bit of time, but it was fun to make. The sun is suppose to be a flower, but I added a button and a bow so that you can't see it's a flower!

Thanks again for looking! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Udderly Adorable!

I can't believe I am going to say this, but today in Pennsylvania, it snowed! Yes, snow! There wasn't any accumulation in my area and my husband didn't have a delay or the day off from school, but there was definitely snow. I had to dig out my boots and gloves today. Brr!

Oh a much brighter note, I have a card to share with you today! It fits this weeks Lawnscaping Challenge, Stamp a Scene!

I recently received Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm" set, and I told you there would be more cards featuring that set, so here it is:

I used mirror image stamping for the girl cow and gave her a hand drawn bow. The grass comes from the "Gnome Sweet Gnome" set and the font is "Smitty's ABC's." I think it's cute! My husband came up with the punny quote on the card. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the other great cards in the challenge!

Hay There!

Good evening! I apologize for the infrequent blog posts. My husband and I had a pretty full social calendar this week so I didn't have much time. But, I did manage to make a card for a challenge hosted by Lawn Fawn this week. Lawn Fawn hosted a challenge to support Operation Write Home, which sends cards to troops for them to send to their loved ones. So, I pulled out my new stamp set, Critters on the Farm, and made this:

Puns are great! I'm sure you will see more farm themed cards with puns this week! Thanks for stopping by!

P.S. This card is also entered into this week's Lawnscaping Challenge - stamp a scene! Go check out the other awesome cards!s

Lawnscaping Challenge #31

Good evening! I've been meaning to post this card, but of course I wait until late at night. I should be in bed, so I'll make this quick!

I made this card for the latest Lawnscaping Challenge. The challenge is to make a card that incorporates coloring with whatever you want to use. I chose to use colored pencils - my favorite! Of course I had to use the Gnome Sweet Gnome set, so here's my card:

I colored the flamingos with colored pencils and made the "male" flamingo a darker color than the "female." There were a lot of first for me in this card. This was the first time that I tried mirror stamping and I think it turned out pretty well! This was also my first attempt at distressing paper! I found some sandpaper and I distressed the edges of the yellow paper and it was really fun! I might start using mirror stamping and distressing more often!

I also made this card for the latest CAS-ual Friday Challenge, which was to create a card based on a song. I obviously chose "You Are my Sunshine" and I think it's fitting because we've had some gorgeous weather here lately!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Good night!
