Oh Come Let Us Adore Him

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope that you all have a great Christmas this year. I have a card to share this morning that reflects the true meaning of Christmas.

This card features Neat and Tangled's Little Baby Jesus stamp and die set. This is my favorite stamp set for Christmas cards! I also used Lawn Fawn's Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle to emboss a piece of white cardstock to add some extra detail to the card.

This is a really cute and simple design that is easy to reproduce, too!

Merry Christmas everyone! I'll be back next year with more inspiration for you! :)

Christmas Letterpress Card

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a great week so far!

I have a fun card to share with you today for Taheerah's Advant Calendar Extravaganza! You can find out more information about the Advant blog hop on the Lawn Fawn blog!

I created this fun set of Christmas Letterpress cards! I saw this technique a while ago from Jennifer McGuire and I just had to try it out!

For this card, I used Lawn Fawn's Scripty Merry die, the Large Wreath die, Wild Rose and Freshly Cut Grass ink, white embossing powder, and the Christmas sentiment from the Cheery Christmas set. The letterpress technique gives this really neat inked impression on the card! Here is a close up on the card:

I also have a video to show you how to recreate this card! You can watch the video below or on the Whimsipost YouTube channel.

Thanks so much for watching and I hope it has inspired you to try this fun technique! Thanks and have a great weekend! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Woodland Critter Huggers

Hi everyone! It's the last day of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! All of the new products will be available tomorrow, December 14th! Yay!

Today, we are sharing projects that feature the new Woodland Critter Huggers! Guys, this die set is soo cute! The set includes a ton of pieces that you can use to make different critters and they are designed with enough space so that the critters can hold candy! It is perfect to use for Valentine cards and treats!

I used the die to create this adorable deer! The brown, dark brown, and tan paper are also new cardstock colors! I added a die cut heart that is included in this set cut from Raspberry cardstock and attached it with a glue dot. I used a glue dot so that the hands can open to reveal a secret message...

... how cute is that!? I used an Everyday Sentiment Banner and stamped the sentiment from Riley's ABCs and For You, Deer stamp sets. It is so fun to open and close it's hands!

There are more adorable projects on the Lawn Fawn blog, so check it check! And thanks so much for all of your sweet comments this week! They always brighten my day! :)

Thanks again and have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Lacy Borders and Lacy Heart Stackables

Hello again! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at two new die sets!

My first card features the new Lacy Borders die which includes three different borders.

To create this card, I inked white cardstock in a variety of colors - Ballet Slipper, Minty Fresh, Mermaid, Fresh Lavender, and two new colors, Peach Fuzz and Lemonade! Then, I used the border die to cut strips of paper to stack on the card base.

I also added some Hearts that were inked with Wild Rose ink and I attached a few sequins to the lacy detail. The sentiment is a new line border die and it was perfect to add to the top of the layers. Here's a close up on the card:

My second card features the new Lacy Heart Stackables! The hearts are cut from Ballet Slippper, Raspberry, and Chili Pepper cardstock. I also used the Scripty Love die and cut it from gold glitter cardstock to add as the sentiment.

I finished by adding a few enamel dots for some extra detail. Here's a close up:

Thanks so much for stopping by! Don't forget to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration and for a chance to win some goodies! :)

LF Inspiration Week: RAWR

Hello again! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today! Yay!

Today, the design team is sharing projects that feature the new RAWR stamp set! This mini set is so cute! For my card, I paired the sentiment from the mini set with Finley's ABCs to make the sentiment really stand out on the card.

I also used paper from the Watercolor Wishes Collection, the Stitched Hillside Borders die, and the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die. Here's a close up on the card:

LF Inspiration Week: How You Bean? Conversation Heart Add-On

Good morning! I hope you're having a good weekend so far! Today is a special day at our house because this is the day that my husband and I started dating, the day that we got engaged, and the day that our daughter was born! And one of our traditions is to watch "It's A Wonderful Life" every December 10th, so it's a busy day at our house, haha!

Anyways, the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the new How You Bean Conversation Heart Add-On set! They look just like the candy conversation hearts!

I used the solid heart stamp and the little conversation messages to create a patterned paper for my card! The hearts are stamped in LF inks - Ballet Slippers, Minty Fresh, Fresh Lavender, and the new colors Lemonade and Peach Fuzz! The messages are stamped in Wild Rose ink.

I also used a new heart stackable die cut from vellem to frame the sentiment. I die cut the Scripty Be and Scripty Mine from Black Licorice cardstock and coated it with glossy accents for some shine! Here's a close up of the card:

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for lots of cute cards from the rest of the design team! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Sweet Friends

Hi everyone! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week starts today! Yay! The design team will be sharing lots of inspiration from the Valentine's release that will be available on Thursday, December 14th.

Today, we are sharing projects featuring the new Sweet Friends set. This set is so cute and has a lot of cute dessert puns! I couldn't decide which pun I liked the best, so I made a mini card set to showcase each dessert and a variety of puns!

These cards are 2 1/4" x 3 1/8" and they will be perfect to slip into lunch boxes for Valentine's Day week! To create the backgrounds, I masked off a square and inked the card bases with different Lawn Fawn Inks (Ballet Slipper, Mermaid, Minty Fresh), and two new colors - Lemonade and Peach Fuzz! I used a paint brush and some watered down black ink to flick some ink over the colored backgrounds. Then, I used the Selfie Frames dies to cut out a Polaroid frame from white cardstock.

The cutest part of this set is the arms and legs that you can add to the images! It makes them so cute!

There's more inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog! Thanks so much for stopping by! :)

Lawn Fawn Black Friday Special

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving this year with lots of family, friends, and food! There is so much to be thankful for and I hope that you were able to take some time to think about everything that God has blessed us with. :)

I have a card to share with you today that features a Black Friday special mini set from Lawn Fawn! This special set is available at the Lawn Fawn store. Orders over $35 will receive the free stamp set, and orders over $60 will receive the coordinating dies. Plus, shipping is free on all U.S. orders! Yay!

I wanted the colorful chameleon to stand out, so I stamped a bunch of chameleons, branches, and hearts in grey ink to create the background. Then, I used Copic markers to color a rainbow chameleon and attached him with foam tape.

I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die to cut my stamped background, and layered it on top of Narwhal cardstock.

Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration using this adorable One In A Chameleon stamp set! Happy shopping! :)

Fawny Holiday Week

Hi there! I hope that you're having a good week so far! I have a fun Christmas card to share with you for Lawn Fawn's Fawny Holiday Week!

I created a fun Magic Color Slider card that features Trim The Tree, Bannertastic, and Cheery Christmas stamp sets. The images are all colored with Copic markers, and I used patterned paper from the Perfectly Plaid Christmas collection for the background.

When you pull on the slider, it reveals a colorful, decorated Christmas tree! It's hard to tell from the pictures, but there are gold stars stamped on the tree along with the red garland.

There are a lot of other cute Christmas cards on the Lawn Fawn blog this week, so don't forget to stop by and check them out!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great day! :)

25 Days of Christmas Tags

Good morning! I am so excited to be sharing tags with you for the 7th Annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags from Tracey McNeely! Check out her blog for all of the information on this fun event, and there might be a giveaway, too!!

Today, I am sharing Christmas tags that feature Lawn Fawn's Shut The Front Door and Mini Wreath dies. I die cut the door from Knock On Wood patterned paper to make it look like a wooden door.

The wreath and bow are die cut from Noble Fir and Rasberry cardstock. I put a piece of white cardstock behind the door so that when it opens it reveals a special message! The sentiment and holly are from the Winter Gifts stamp set, but any Christmas sentiment would look great on the inside.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you like the tags! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Glitter and Embossing Powder

Hi everyone! It's the last day of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, and today we are featuring the glitter and embossing powders!

The snowy background is white embossed with the Snowy Backdrops set. The trees are cut from the Birch Trees die from white cardstock and are lightly ink blended with grey ink. For the snowy hills, I used the Stitched Hillside Backdrop dies cut from white cardstock, and I used a little bit of glue along the hills to attach the Prisma glitter. The snowmen are from the Making Frosty Friends set, and the sentiment from Snowy Backdrops is heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder on vellum. Here's a close up on the card to show you how pretty and sparkly the sentiment and glitter are:

Thanks so much for visiting my blog this week! I hope that you have enjoyed the projects and thank you for all of the sweet comments! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Outside In Stitched Scalloped Stackables

Good morning! I hope that you have enjoyed the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week so far!

Today I am sharing a project that features the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies. I die cut a piece of white cardstock and folded it in half to make Thanksgiving place cards!

I added critters and food from the Forest Feast set, and added the sentiment from the Happy Happy Happy Add-on set stamped in Cranberry and Pumpkin Spice inks.

Since the cards are folded in half, there's room on the other side to add a name to the place cards!

I hope you like this project! Thanks for stopping by, and check back again tomorrow for another card! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Perfectly Plaid Chill Collection

Hi there! I hope that you all have a nice weekend! We enjoyed some family time at a local fall festival and also enjoyed a corn maze with our youth group!

Today, the Lawn Fawn design team is sharing projects that feature the Perfectly Plaid Chill Collection! I have two projects to share with you today. The first project is this gift tag set that features the Tag, You're It dies and the Beary Happy Holidays set. These tags are quick and easy to create, but are so cute to add to gifts!

I also created this name banner for a friend who recently had a little boy!

This banner features the Stitched Party Banners, Louie's ABCs die, and the Plane and Simple stamp set. I really like how the name stands out against the patterned paper when it's cut from black cardstock!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Stitched Hillside Backdrop

Hello again! The Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at the Stitched Hillside Backdrop dies!

These dies are awesome because they make scene building so easy! For my card, I used the portrait hillside, along with the Stitched Mountain Border, Everyday Sentiment Banner dies, Sealed With a Kiss set, and Watercolor Wishes paper.

To create the water, I masked off the second hillside and ink blended Broken China distress oxide ink over top of the die cut. You could also use the Stitched Hillside die and die cut the bottom hillside from patterned paper! I also really like the cute house and trees that are included in this backdrop set!

Thanks so much for stopping by! There's more inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog, and I'll be back again tomorrow with some other fun projects! Have a great day! :)

Sunny Studio Guest Designer

*This is my second post of the day. To view my Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week post, continue scrolling or click here. :)

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be a guest designer for the Sunny Studio blog! They have some adorable sets that are perfect for Christmas, and I was so excited to be able to play with a few of their products!

These cards feature images from the Christmas Home, Christmas Chapel, and Festive Greetings. The houses and chapel are so cute, and I really like the little details, like the Christmas tree in the window! The trees, snowman, and lamppost are perfect to help create cute, winter scenes!

To create these cards, I die cut a panel from white cardstock with the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Scalloped Rectangle die. Then, I used blue inks to create an ink blended sky, and I left the bottom part white for the snow. The sentiments are heat embossed with gold embossing power. I think those big, scripty sentiments are my favorite!

I finished by attaching the images, which are colored with Copic markers, and adding clear stickles to the snow on the trees, house, and chapel. I really like how these cards turned out!

Thank you so much, Mendi, for allowing me to be a guest designer for Sunny Studios! Check out the their blog for lots of inspiration from their amazing design team! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Winter Otter

Hi there! I hope that you had a great week! Today, my husband and I are taking our church youth group to an annual corn maze in our area! We go every year and it's one of our favorite events with the youth! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend?

The Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues, and I'm sharing Christmas tags that feature the Winter Otter set.

I die cut the tags from white cardstock with the Stitched Circle Tags. Then, I ink blended the tags with Broken China distress oxide ink and spritzed it with water. The otters are colored with Copic markers, and I added glossy accents to the candy canes to give them some shine! I finished the tags by stamping the sentiments in black ink, attaching the otters with foam tape, and tying twine to the tags. Here's a close up on the tags:

Thanks for much for stopping by! Have a great weekend! :)
