Etsy Shop Saturday!

Hi everyone! I have a quick card to share with you from the Whimsipost Etsy Shop!

A long time ago, I made this card and I decided it was time to make it again in a different colors. So here is the "get whale soon" card in green!

I think I like the blue version better, but this one still looks just as cute!

I am also entering this card into the current Catered Crop challenge since it is all about get well soon cards! Perfect! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a great weekend! :)

Thank You Set

Hello everyone! I have some cards to share with you that I made for the current Wanna Sketch Challenge. Here is the sketch for the current challenge:

And this is the mini card set that I made:

To create these cards, I cut 4.5" by 3.25" kraft card base and stamped Lawn Fawn's "Woodgrain Background" in brown. I die cut tags from LF's "Tag, You're It" out of vellum and "Sweater Weather" patterned paper. I stamped the sentiment onto the vellum from Simon Says Stamp's "Flower Friend" and added hearts die cut from the same patterned paper. Then, I tied the tags with some brown ribbon and attached them to the card base.

I think this mini set is so cute! I really like how the colors stand out against the kraft background.

Well, thanks for stopping by! If you get a chance, you should definitely play along with the Wanna Sketch Challenges. Lisa's sketches are always so cute and inspiring! :)

Lawnscaping #90 - Critters!

Good morning! Did you have a nice weekend? Things went well here - we went to a high school football game (they won - yay!), and relaxed the rest of the weekend (while watching some other football games as well). It was cold this weekend, so it was nice to just relax inside!

Anyways, it is that time again - another Lawnscaping Challenge! This is definitely a fun one! The theme is critters galore!

All of the critters from Lawn Fawn are adorable, so it was hard to pick which ones to use. I finally decided to use the "Critters in the Forest" set and this is what I created:

I think it's perfect for a fall birthday! All of the images are from "Critters in the Forest" stamp set, and the sentiment is from "Happy Everything." I have used the that critters set before, but I never used the mushrooms or leaves images, so I made sure to include them this time! The images are all colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to play along because the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn (and you can use it to pick out another cute critters set - or anything else!)

Have a nice day! :)

Etsy Shop Saturday!

Happy Saturday everyone! It's rainy and cold here - yuck! But, that makes for a good day to do some indoor projects!

Anyways, I am back again with another Etsy Shop Saturday! I already shared this card a while ago, but I have since rearranged the colors. I like it this way better!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Chit Chat" and "Get Well Soon" stamps and dies. The images are all colored with Prismacolor pencils and attached with foam tape. This colorful card would definitely make anyone feel better!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out the other cards at the Whimsipost Etsy Shop!

Happy Fall

Hi everyone! I'm sharing a super cute fall themed card on the Lawn Fawn Blog today! Yay!

This card features Lawn Fawn's newest alphabet die, "Finley's ABCs," as well as images from "Critters in Costume." The patterned paper for the letter is also cut from one of their new paper collections, "Sweater Weather." I'm not sure about you, but I have such a hard time lining things up, especially letters, so I usually just place them all crooked on purpose! That way, no one will ever know if one if crooked! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

Thank You Banners

Hi there! I hope that you were able to have a nice weekend!

I have a card to share with you for the current Curtain Call Challenge!

This was my first time playing along with this challenge and it was a lot of fun to use the inspiration photo for my card. I was inspired by the colors in the picture, as well as this card by Steph Washburn.

This card features stamps from Simon Says Stamp's "Flower Friend" and patterned paper from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" petite paper pack. I stamped the banner a bunch of different times in different colored inks to mimic the colors of the leaves in the inspiration photo. Then I stamped the sentiment and added sequins.

Thanks for stopping by! You should definitely play along with this challenge if you get the chance! :)

Etsy Shop Saturday!

Yay, it's the weekend! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? This was the first week back for school, so we will probably just relax this weekend. And of course, watch football! Sounds like a good weekend to me! :)

I have decided to start a new series on my blog called "Etsy Shop Saturday" where I will feature a different item every week that is available in my Etsy shop. Most of the items in the shop are cards that you have already seen on my blog, but these two are new. The first is eggs and bacon:

And the second card is the peas and carrots!

I think these cards are so cute! They're even holding hands! They each have a cute bow tie and hair bow to give the images some added interest, and of course they had to have hearts above their heads!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out my Etsy Shop by clicking here or clicking on the Etsy Shop tab at the top of the page! Have a nice weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #89 - One Layer

Happy September! We're getting closer and closer to my favorite season - fall! I already decorated my house in my fall decor because I'm just so excited! :)

It's time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge - the dreaded one layer!

This challenge is always so hard for me because I like to use foam tape to pop up different images or letters. I did break the rules though and added stickles to the ice! I just couldn't help it!

This card features one of Lawn Fawn's newest sets "Critters in the Arctic" as well as "Winter Sparrows" and "Making Frosty Friends." The scene is colored with Prismacolor pencils and my white paint pen. I started by stamping the seal and sparrow onto the card base. Then I made a mask of the critters, taped it down, and stamped the ice slab (I'm not really sure what you would call that!). I finished the card by stamping the sentiment and hearts (and adding the stickles!).

The sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate!
