Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Did you do anything fun over the weekend? We went to a parenting conference over the weekend that was very informative and a lot of fun!
My card today uses the Spring Flowers Backdrop from Lawn Fawn!
How pretty is that flower border?! I started by die cutting the flower backdrop in Cilantro cardstock. Then, I die cut the flowers and the center of the flowers with the textured canvas cardstock in different shades of pink and red. I glued the flowers to the cilantro border and also added a white frame cut from the Stitched Rectangle Frames die.
After I finished the flowers backdrop, I started working on the background. I made a white card base and attached a piece of flower market paper. Then, I glued the flower backdrop to the card base. I wanted a big sentiment for the middle, so I used the Henry's ABCs dies to die cut the letters for "friend" in red cardstock and glued them to the background. I finished by white heat embossing the sentiment from the Happy Wavy Sayings set (the freebie stamp set from the Fall 2020 release) onto pink cardstock and die cutting it with the Fancy Wavy Banners die. I also added a thin layer of clear glaze to add some extra shine to the card.
