LF Inspiration Week: Spring Blossoms Background Stencils

 Hi friends! It's the Lawn Fawn inspiration week and I'm sharing a project today that uses the new Spring Blossoms Background Stencils. Aren't those flowers so pretty?!

I used the background stencils to create a thank you card set. This would make such a cute gift idea! I started with a piece of white cardstock cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. Then, I used the stencils to ink blend a background for each card. I used distress oxide inks for these cards, but you can use any ink that you have in your craft stash.

After creating the backgrounds, I started on the sentiments. I used cardstock in coordinating colors to die cut the "thanks" letters with the Henry's ABCs die. The "so very much" is from the Scripty Bubble Sentiment set and is white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I also added a few gold hearts that were cut from the Hearts and Stars Skinny Tag set.

I also created another card with this stencil, and I started the same way as the card set above, but on the last stencil layer I used gold stencil paste! It's hard to see in the picture, but it add such a pretty detail to the flowers.

Here's another look at the gold stencil paste on the flowers. I love that it adds the inside details to the flowers and adds a fun texture, too!

LF Inspiration Week: You Goat This

Hi friends! Are you enjoying all of the sneak peeks on the Lawn Fawn blog? All of the new products will be available on Thursday, February 24th.

Today, I have a card to share that uses the You Goat This stamp set. After my kids saw this set and learned what "G.O.A.T" means, they have starting calling so many things The G.O.A.T., like "That dinner was the GOAT, mom!" Haha!

So, for this card, I started by using the Large Mini Slimline die to cut a piece of Mermaid and Cilantro cardstock for the backgrounds. The cilantro cardstock was also cut with the Grassy Border and lightly ink blended with green ink along the top. For the sky, I used blue ink and the Cloudy Stencil to add clouds to the sky.

After assembling the background to a white card base, I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers. Using the coordinating dies, I die cut the images and arranged them on the card. Once I had them in a position that I liked, I attached the images with foam tape and stamped the sentiment in the sky, along with a few hearts around the goats.

I love how this card turned out and I can't wait to create more cards with these adorable goats. That mother goat loves her three little kids! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Beary Rainy Day and Rainy Sky Stencil

The Lawn Fawn inspiration week continues with a look at the new Beary Rainy Day stamp set! These little bears are so cute playing in the rain!

I created a simple background by die cutting a piece of white cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and ink blended the background with the new Rainy Sky Stencil. The images are arranged on the card and attached with foam tape, as well as the sentiment that was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. 

Those bears look like they're having so much fun in those rain puddles!

LF Inspiration Week: Platform Pop-Up

Hello again! The Lawn Fawn design team is back to share inspiration featuring the newest interactive die - the Platform Pop-Up!

It might look complex, but it's really simple to assemble. I started by die cutting the pieces for the platform out of Flower Market paper. I used the green to make it look more like grass for the card. After assembling the pop-up card (check out this video on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel for instructions on how to assemble the card), I added three green hillsides and the background from the Platform Pop-Up Add-On set. The add-on piece is white cardstock with light blue clouds created with the Cloudy stencil.

To create the inside scene, I stamped images from the Garden Before 'n Afters and the cute mouse from the Berry Special stamp set. I attached the images along the small hills in the card. A few of the images are attached with foam tape and the bees are attached with a small strip of acetate.

The sentiment was attached to the front of the card. It was created with gold sparkle cardstock and cut with the Scripty Hello die. The fun part of this card is that it folds flat to mail! Here's what the card looks like flat:

There's a short video on the Whimsipost Instagram page that show how the card opens and closes. It's so fun!
