It's the second day of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week, and we have more projects to share!
Today's project features the Flamingo Floatie die. This is the first time that I used Copic markers to color a die cut image, and I love how it turned out!
To create the background, I started with a piece of white cardstock cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle die. I ink blended with the Sunray Background Stencil and Mustard Seed distress oxide inks, and before the ink dried, I covered the rays with clear embossing powder. I heat set the background and once it was dried, I ink blended the rest of the sky with Scattered Straw distress oxide ink.
To create the waves, I used the Stitched Wavy Backdrop, cut the bottom two layers, and ink blended it with distress oxide inks. I also splattered the waves with water to give it some extra details.
After attaching the background with double sided tape to a white card base, I attached the waves with foam tape. Then, I slid the flamingo in between the waves and attached it with foam tape, too. To finish, I added a white heat embossed sentiment from the Pool Party set and a Scripty Hello die cut from gray textured cardstock.
This card just puts me into a summer mood and makes me want to go float in the water!
