Welcome to the Neighborhood Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. Did you do anything fun? We had a yard sale which isn't "fun" but it kept us busy. And it went better than the last one we had a few years ago, haha!

We had a few new neighbors move in on our street earlier this year, but we weren't able to welcome them to the neighborhood because of everything shutting down. So, a few weeks ago we decided it was time to introduce ourselves and say hi! I made these cards to go along with some cookies - the perfect way to make new friends. :)

I used the row of houses from the Simply Celebrate Spring stamp set, and I colored them with Copic markers. I also stamped and die cut a few trees, clouds, and the sun from the Happy Village stamp set. Once everything was colored and die cut, I started working on the background. I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and lightly ink blended the background with Lawn Fawn inks. I placed the houses on the middle of the white panel so that I knew where to put the sentiment. Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Village set and a custom sentiment with Violet's ABCs. I then added the images with foam tape, stamped a few birds in the sky, and attached the panel to a white card base. Here's a closer look at the card:

The new neighbors liked the cookies and cards and we made some new friends! :)

Thanks for visiting today and I hope you have a great day!

Hakuna Matata with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! I hope that you all had a great weekend. The current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is to find inspiration from a book, movie, or song and it looked so like such a fun challenge that I decided to play along!

One of my favorite movies growing up was the Lion King. I can still remember all of the song lyrics, haha! Isn't it crazy how songs like that can just stay in your head?! So, I created a card inspired by the Lion King song "Hakuna Matata."

I used the animals from the Wild For You and Hay There stamp sets. I tried to color the animals to look like the Lion King characters. Hopefully they look similar!

To create the card, I started by creating a circle mask and ink blending the background with distress oxide inks. Then, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die to cut out the inked panel. I added a branch from the Birch Trees die cut from Woodgrain cardstock. I used Violet's ABCs to create a custom sentiment and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I attached the critters with foam tape and then added a few music notes from the Little Music Notes die and Critter Concert stamp set.

I decided to add a speech bubble above the critters so I used the A Birdie Told Me stamp set and added a custom sentiment. The sentiment was pieced together from a bunch of other sets including RAWR, Don't Worry, Be Hoppy, and RAWRSOME. It took some time to put the sentiment together, but it turned out great! Here's a picture of the inspiration that I used for my card:

Did you play along with the current challenge? I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for visiting and I hope you have a great week! :)

Congrats card!

Hi everyone! I hope that everyone is doing well this week. It definitely feels like summer now! This week was humid and warm, and we were able to spend a bunch of time outside!

Anyways, I wanted to share a card with you today that I made a while ago for a friend.

The schools in our area have about two weeks left of school. My husband is a teacher so I can't wait for school to be over so that he can spend a bunch of time with my daughter and I!

For this card I used Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Forest," "Hats Off to You," "Violet's ABCs," "Flirty Frames," and "Let's Polka" petite paper pack. I stamped the images in Memento black ink and colored everything with Prismacolor pencils. I really like the look of adding the Flirty Frames to the top of bottom of the images to frame everything together.

I also wanted to remind everyone that Lawn Fawn's Inspiration and Release Week starts today!! They will be showing a bunch of new products this week and having a giveaways throughout the week, so don't forget to check that it! I can't wait to see what they created!

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you enjoy the rest of your day! :)

Have a wonderful day!

*This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Lawnscaping post, please click here or just keep scrolling down. Thanks!

Hello again! I have another card to share with you that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog today!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Gleeful Garden" stamp and dies, "Flirty Frames," "Riley's ABC's," "Quinn's ABC's," and "Violet's ABC's." stamp sets, and "Let's Polka, Mon Amie" patterned paper. I wanted a way to help frame the sentiment, so I used part of the border from one of the "Flirty Frames." Here is a close up on the card:

The images are all colored with Prismacolor pencils, and I also added some details to the images with a white paint pen. I think the sunflower is my favorite image from the Gleeful Garden set! And that snail is so cute!

Thanks for visiting and thank you Kelly for featuring my card today! I hope that you all have a wonderful day!! :)

Love You Beary Much!

Hello again everyone! I hope your week has been going well! It's almost the weekend - woohoo!

I have another card that I wanted to share with you before Valentine's Day!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Violet's ABCs," "Bugs and Kisses," and "Love You S'more" stamp sets, as well at "Scripty Love" and "Stitched Circle" dies. I started by die cutting a circle from white card stock and using distress inks to create a scene. To get the bear facing the other way, I first die cut the bear from white card stock, flipped the die cut over, and mirror stamped on the back. That way I can still use the dies with mirror stamping! The bears and hearts are all colored with colored pencils, and the "love" is die cut from glittery paper. Then, I adhered everything to the card base, stamped the sentiment, and finished by adding dashed lines around the scene.

Well, thanks for stopping by! Do you have anything fun planned for Valentine's Day? I'm not sure what, or if we're doing anything yet, but whatever we end up doing tomorrow will be fun together as a family! Have a good weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #97 - Winter Themed

Good morning, everyone! I hope that everyone had a nice Christmas and New Year! Life is finally starting to settle back down again after the craziness of the holiday! Does anyone else still have their Christmas tree up? We're keeping it up as long as we can! :)

Anyways, it's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge

The challenge this week is to create a winter themed project based on the Pinterest-inspired photos in the challenge badge pictured above.

I used the colors in the photos (the blues and whites) and the movie Elf as my inspiration! That is such a good winter movie - so funny! My card features Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Hillside Border Dies" (for the waves), "Large Stitched Circle Dies," "Violet's ABCs," "Year Two," "Critters in the Arctic," and "Critters in the Sea" stamp set, as well as "Let's Polka" patterned paper. I cut out two circles for the card base, and then cut out the waves from vellum. The critters are stamped and colored with Prismacolor pencils and attached with foam tape behind the waves. I also cut out a few hearts to add around the sentiment. (P.S. It's hard to get a picture of a round card without it rolling away! :))

This year, Lawnscaping has a new sponsor for the first challenge of the month! Ellen Hutson is the new sponsor and the winner of this challenge will receive a $25 gift certificate to the store!

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a good week and I can't wait to see what you create for this challenge! :)

25 Days of Christmas Day 21

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share this card with you this morning. This represents the true meaning of Christmas!

This card features Paper Smooches "A Blessed Christmas" stamp set and Lawn Fawn's "Milo's ABCs" and "Violet's ABCs" stamp sets. I used a few different blue inks to make the background, and then stamped the images and sentiment in black ink. It made for a perfect one layer card which is great for mailing!

Well, I hope that you have a good day! I'll be back with another card tomorrow! :)

25 Days of Christmas Day 11

Hello! I am back to share another Christmas card with you! This card was shared a while ago on the Lawn Fawn blog, but I think it's just too cute to not share again! :)

This is my favorite card this Christmas! This card features a ton of Lawn Fawn products - patterned paper from "Snow Day," "Stitched Hillside Border" die, "Violet's ABCs," "Critters in the Arctic," and "Hats Off to You" stamp sets, and Sky Lawn Trimmings. That moose is just the cutest!!

Thanks for stopping by! Come back tomorrow and see how I used this Christmas moose for a different card! :)

P.S. I also wanted to let you know that Lawn Fawn just released their new Valentine's day products, and they are super cute! Go check them out! :)

25 Days of Christmas Day 6

Hello everyone! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? We are finalizing plans for my daughter's birthday party and working on mailing Christmas cards. We are hoping to make a gift for my daughter and if it turns out well, I will share it with you sometime! :)

Anyways, I have another Christmas card to share with you today!

I haven't added a big bow to a card for a long time! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Finley's ABCs," "Violet's ABCs," and Lawn Ornaments mixed sequins. The sentiment is also cut from LF's "Snow Day" petite paper pad. I die cut the sentiment from patterned paper and white card stock to give it some dimension, too!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a good weekend and don't forget to stop by again tomorrow for another Christmas card! :)

Mr. and Mrs.

Hello again! I'm back to share another wedding card with you!

Before we get to the wedding card, I wanted to let you know that next week is the Fawny Holiday Week on the Lawn Fawn blog! Don't forget to check it out to see a ton of Christmas and holiday inspiration!

And now, onto the card!

I made this for my mom to give at my cousin's wedding this summer. It features Lawn Fawn's "Violet's ABCs" stamp set (for the and), "Finley's ABCs" and "Heart" die cuts, gold sparkle Lawn Trimmings, and patterned paper from Let's Polka. I die cut the letters and hearts from glitter card stock so they are nice and sparkly! For the background, I attached the patterned paper, added the doily on top, and then covered them in a layer of vellum. I finished off the card by adding the twine and hearts at the top. This card was perfect for my cousin's wedding because they used Mr. and Mrs. in the wedding invitations and in a lot of the decorations at the reception.

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope that you have a good day! I'm going to try to get some crafts done this afternoon while the baby is sleeping! :)

Merry Christmoose!

* This is my second post of the day. If you are looking for my Lawnscaping post, please click here or just keep scrolling down. Thanks!

Hello again! I am super excited to be sharing a card on the Lawn Fawn Blog today!

The best thing about alphabet stamps is that you can create your own sentiment, so here is what I created:

This card features a ton of Lawn Fawn items - patterned paper from "Snow Day," "Stitched Hillside Border" die, "Violet's ABCs," "Critters in the Arctic," and "Hats Off to You" stamp sets, and Sky Lawn Trimmings. To get a softer look for the snowy background, I covered the patterned paper with a layer of vellum. The snow flakes are also embossed and cut from vellum (yes, I'm a little bit obsessed with vellum!).

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you have a great Monday! :)
