Math Belated Birthday Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! I hope that your week is going well so far! I have a fun card set to share with you today!

I'm terrible at sending cards on time, so I always find myself needing belated birthday cards. I used a bunch of different Lawn Fawn stamp sets, along with a fun mathematics background stamp set from Hero Arts, to make a punny, math belated birthday card!

My husband and I both have a college degree in mathematics, so one of my first stamp purchases was a mathematics background set from Hero Arts. I have no idea if it's still available, but it's so fun! I stamped the background with an embossing ink pad to create a lightly inked background on different cardstock panels. The panels are cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and I used different colors of Lawn Fawn cardstock. I also lightly ink blended the edges to give the cardstock some dimension.

I attached each of the panels to a white card base. I stamped the owl from the So Owlsome stamp set, the pencil, books, and calculator from the Plan On It: School set, and the present from Beam Me Up onto white cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I also added glasses to the owls to make them look more nerdy. And they looked so much cuter with googly eyes, so I added those, too!

The speech bubbles are from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set, and I added a custom sentiment with Milo's ABCs. I also added a white heat embossed sentiment along the bottom made with the belated stamp in the Year Two set, and the happy birthday stamps from the Beam Me Up set. That sentiment is white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut with the Everyday Sentiment Banner. I had to run the banner die through my die cut machine two times to make the banner a little bit shorter. Here's a closer look at the card:

Hopefully I won't forget a birthday, but in case I do (I mean when I do) I have some cute belated birthday cards to send! :)

Thanks so much for visiting today and have a great day! :)

Rainbow Hello Card

Hi friends! I have a colorful card to share today to help brigthen your day!

This card features the Somewhere kit from Erin Lee Creative. I used the rainbow and hearts to stamp a colorful background for this card set.

I used a bunch of Lawn Fawn inks to create the background, including Peachy Keen, Peach Fuzz, Cilantro, Kiddie Pool, Merman, and Fresh Lavender for the rainbows and Wild Rose for the hearts. I stamped them on a white cardstock panel cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die, and I attached it to a white case base.

For the sentiment, I used the Scripty Hello die cut from black shimmer cardstock and attached it with liquid glue. Then, I used the "friend" stamp from the Rub-A-Dub-Dub stamp set, white heat embossed it onto black cardstock, cut it out, and attached with foam tape. Here's a closer look at the background:

I'm going to send these to friends this week to brigthten their day! And I hope you have a great day, too! Enjoy your weekend! :)

Well, Hello There with Hello Bluebird

Hi everyone! I hope that you're week is going well so far! I have a card to share today that was featured in the Spring issue of the Scrapbook and Cards Today magazine!

I'm so honored to be published along side all of the amazing designers in the issue. You can view the issue for free on their website (click here)!

This card features the Field Mice set from Hello Bluebird. How cute are those mice carrying the strawberries!? To create the background, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die from Lawn Fawn to cut the sky from Watercolor Wishes patterned paper. For the grass, I used the Grassy Hillside Border die to cut three grassy hills from the Spring Fling patterned paper. I inked the top of the grass and edges of the sky with distress oxide inks to add some dimension to the scene. I attached everything to a white card base and then arranged the images onto the scene. I finished by stamping the sentiment at the top.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you like the card. Have a great day! :)
