Wow, thank you!

Good evening, everyone! I hope that you are having a good week so far. It's almost the weekend! We are super busy here getting ready for my sister-in-law's wedding, as well as prepping our house to get our hardwood floors refinished! Whew, things are crazy right now!

I haven't had much time to play along with many challenges lately, but I'm glad I was able to squeeze in a little bit of time to play along with the current CAS-ology challenge! This week's theme was rainbow, so here is what I created:

This card features stamps from Sweet Stamp Shop. They are actually a mini sample set, so I'm not sure what the name is, but I like them! I stamped the feathers a few times in various colors to create a rainbow look. Then I stamped the sentiment above and below the feathers in a grey ink. I finished the card by adding some stickles to the feathers to give it some sparkle!

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a great weekend! :)

Stylish Hippos

Hi there! I have a super fun birthday card to share with you today!

Hehe! Aren't those hippos so cute! The hippos, accessories, and sentiment are from Sweet Stamp Shop's "Too Hip" stamp set. The images are all fussy cut from various patterned papers, pieced together, and adhered with foam tape.

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a good weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #86 - Watercoloring!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend! I was able to spend some time visiting family, attending a bridal shower, and just relaxing! Ahh, summer! :)

Anyways, it's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!

This challenge is to use watercoloring on your project! You can use whatever you have - crayons, Distress inks, paints, or whatever else! I was looking through my craft stash, and I found a set of Crayola watercolors, so that is what I used! Here are the cards that I made for this challenge:

This was the first time that I ever used watercolors and it is so much fun!! These cards feature Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Sea," "Chit Chat," and the coordinating "Chit Chat" die cuts. I also found a few sequins that matched the background colors, so I used those as well! The critters are colored with Prismacolor pencils and decorated with a white paint pen. The critters and speech bubbles are all attached with foam tape.

To create the backgrounds, I added some watercolors to an acrylic block and pressed it onto the paper. I lifted the block off of the paper, and then I used a paint brush with a little bit of water on it to spread the ink out and to mix the colors together a little bit. It is a super easy technique to try!

Here is a close up of each of the cards:

This one is my favorite! I just really like how the colors came together on the background! It goes so well with the sea turtle!

I am having so much fun adding white dots to my colored images! This octopus always makes me smile! :)

This one is my least favorite. It just feels like it is missing something. But I really like the blue and purple background!

So there you go! What do you think? I hope that you're able to play along with this challenge! Watercoloring is so popular and I can now see why! :)

The winner of this challenge will get a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! And they're coming out with some new releases soon, so make sure that you enter!! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Bunny Love

Happy Tuesday! I don't know about you, but it feels like the summer is just flying by!

Anyways, I wanted to share a card with you today that I submitted awhile ago to a Paper Crafts submission call, but wasn't picked up. No problem - I'll try again next time!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Cole's ABCs," "Stitched Scalloped Border," and "Stitched Journaling Card" dies, as well as "My Silly Valentine" and "Happy Easter" stamp sets. I used some gold glitter paper from the background, letters, and hearts. It's so sparkly and cute in real life! I think those bunnies are the cutest!

These bunnies remind me that my husband I and recently found a nest of baby bunnies in our backyard! I would peek in on them every few days because they are just so cute to look at!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

Feel Better Soon!

Hi everyone! I hope that you're enjoying your summer so far! Since my husband is a teacher, he has been able to spend a lot of time with me and the little one. We've been having so much fun hanging out together everyday! :)

I have a quick card to share with you today. I made this card awhile ago for my grandma because she wasn't feel well. Thankfully, she is feeling much better now!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Get Well Soon" and "Chit Chat," as well as their coordinating dies. It is so nice to have dies to accompany the stamps - that makes it so easy!! The images are colored with Prismacolor pencils and attached with foam tape. I also tied some "Cloudy" Lawn Trimmings around the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a nice weekend! Our town is having a huge Arts Festival this weekend so we will spend some time looking at all of the crazy arts that they have for sale! There are always so many neat items!

Lawnscaping #85 - Color Combo

Hi everyone! Did you have a nice fourth of July? I hope that you were able to spend some time with family and watch fireworks! This was the first time that the little one watched fireworks and she wasn't too sure about them at first! She was so tired and when they started to go off, she started screaming! But she finally started to calm down and enjoyed watching the bright lights! :)

So, today we have a new Lawnscaping Challenge! The current challenge is to use the three colors to inspire your card. Here is the card that I made using those three colors (blue, yellow, and orange):

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Stitched Party Banner," "Scripty Thanks," and "Hearts" dies, as well as "Smitty's ABCs" and "Winter Gifts." I have also used patterned paper from "Let's Polka" and "Into the Woods." I adhered the thanks and the banner to the card with foam dimension tape. Then, I tied a white ribbon to the top of the banner!

The sponsor for this challenge is Simon Says Stamp and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate! Woo hoo!!
