Floral Felt Headbands

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a good week so far! It is suppose to be really cold here this week, with the real feel temperatures reaching 20 degrees below zero! Brr!

I have a fun project to share with you today! I have been busy making headbands for my daughter and her little sister, who should be arriving any day now!

I used the Flower Power die set from Lawn Fawn to cut all of the flower petals and leaves. The two largest flower petals are used to create the felt flowers with the white center, and I only used the large die for the flowers with the black center.

All of the felt, except for the black felt, are from Secret Garden color palette from Benzie Design. That color set is perfect for creating flowers! The black felt is just whatever I had in my craft stash, and I'm pretty sure it came from Michael's or Joann's.

I also used the White Felt Pom-Poms from Benzie Design for the inside of some of the flowers. To create the black inside for the other set of flowers, I cut a strip of black felt, hot glued it together length wise, cut slits in the felt, and then rolled the felt to create the inside petals. Here's a link to a picture tutorial on how to create the insides here! I created the Loopy Flowers and adjusted how much I wanted for the inside of the flowers.

Once the flowers were done, I hot glued them to a tan nylon headband. I may take a few and attach them to hair clips for my older daughter.

These are so easy to create with the Lawn Fawn dies and Benzie felt! Which style do you like better? I can't decide between the two sets!

Thanks so much for stopping and have a great day! :)

Lawn Fawn Sneak Week Day 4

Good morning everyone! I hope you have enjoyed the sneak peeks on the Lawn Fawn blog this week! What has been your favorite set so far?

I have two cards to share with you today! My first card features a new stamp set, Get Well Before 'n Afters! It includes images of critters when they're sick and after they get better! It's so cute and it works great with the Magic Picture Changer die!

For this card, I used Finley's ABCs die to create a big, bold sentiment. The "get" and "soon" are from the Get Well Before 'n Afters stamp set and are white heat embossed onto black cardstock. The clouds are from the new Butterfly Kisses set (how cute are they with the smiling faces?!) I also used the Stitched Wave Borders to create the ocean for the whale. The top ocean wave is cut from vellum so that you can see the whale behind it.

My second card features the cute dinosaurs from the new RAWRSOME set! That pterodactyl is my favorite from the set, as well as the baby brontosaurus! I colored the dinosaurs in a rainbow of colors and gave each of them a party hat. You can't have a birthday party with out the hats! :)

I also used the new Simple Wavy Banners to highlight the sentiment. The sky, ground, and grass are lightly ink blended with Lawn Fawn ink, and I used the Simple Grassy Hillsides and Stitched Hillside Borders dies to help create the scene. Here's a close up on the card:

Lawn Fawn Sneak Week Day 3

Hi there! There's more sneak peeks on the Lawn Fawn blog today! One of them is a really cool Magic Picture Changer die, so make sure to check out the samples of that - it's so neat!

I have another card to share with you today. I used the images from the new Butterfly Kisses set, along with two new dies!

I used the grass from the new Mushroom Border die to create a grassy hillside. I really like this new grass die because it creates shorter grass than some of the other Lawn Fawn grassy hillsides. I also used the new Fancy Wavy Banners die to highlight the sentiment. I cut the banner from Ballet Slipper cardstock and inlaid a banner cut from white cardstock. The banner die set also includes some other great banners, so make sure to check it out!

The sky and grass are created with Distress Oxide inks. The images are all colored with Copic markers and attached with foam tape or glue. I used the Outside In Stitched Circle Stackables die to create highlight the scene. Here's a close up on the card:

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day, and stop by again tomorrow for some more sneak peeks! :)

Lawn Fawn Sneak Week Day 2

Hi everyone! What do you think of the Lawn Fawn sneak peeks so far?! There are so many adorable new sets!!

My card today features the new Oh Gnome! stamp set, as well as some of the new patterned papers!

I used the new Spiffy Speckles set for the sky and grass. That patterned paper set is so pretty and adds subtle detail without being overwhelming. I have a feeling that I'll be reaching for that patterned paper set a lot! The grass is cut from the new Mushroom Border die set. The scene is framed with the Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Frames. Then, I used another new paper set - Really Rainbow Scallops - to frame the scene. That new paper set also adds subtle detail and comes in a rainbow of colors!

Here's a close up on the card. How cute are the girl gnomes?!

Stop by again tomorrow for some more sneak peeks! Have a great day! :)

Lawn Fawn Sneak Week Day 1

Good morning! I hope that you're excited because today is Day One of the Lawn Fawn Sneak Week! Yay!! The new products are being showcased at Creativation, but will not be available for purchase until February 21st.

Make sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog today for a sneak peek at a bunch of new stamp sets! For my card today, I used the Butterfly Kisses set. This set is so cute and includes a bear, bunny, fox, and a bunch of cute, little butterflies!

I also used another new die - the Straight Flower Border die. The sky, grass, and flowers are inked with a variety of Lawn Fawn inks. I used double sided tape to attach the sky and flowers, and then added the grass with foam tape, which was cut with the Grassy Border die. The images are all colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating die cuts. Some images are attached with foam tape, but most of them are attached with liquid glue. I finished by stamping the sentiment in the lower right corner of the card.

There's more sneak peeks on the Lawn Fawn blog, so make sure to check them out! I'll be back again tomorrow with another card to share with you! :)

Thanks for visiting and have a great day!

Welcome Baby Elephant Card

Hi everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! I have a fun new baby card to share with you today!

I created this card for a friend who recently had a baby boy! This design was quick and easy, and could easily be made into a baby girl card, too!

I started by ink blending a simple background onto Brisol smooth cardstock. I used Broken China, Tumbled Glass, and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks on the background, and then lightly spritzed it with water. While that dried, I stamped the elephants from Wild For You (the elephant on the right is mirror stamped) and the leaves from Critters in the Jungle. I colored the images with green and gray copic markers, and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I arranged them onto the inked background and attached the upper leaves with glue and the rest of the elements with foam tape. Then, I created a border with the Large and Small Dotted Rectangle Stackables (you could also create a frame with the Stitched Rectangle Frames) and glued it along the edge of the scene. I finished the card by stamping a few hearts in Wild Rose ink and stamping the sentiment from Little Bundle.

I really like how cute this card turned out! I might create a few more to keep on hand for any upcoming new babies. :)

I hope this has inspired you to create something today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! :)

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I'm usually in bed before midnight, so I'm a little tired today, haha!

I have a few cards to share with you today that feature the large die of the month from Spellbinders!

This die set is so cute and includes a lot of great elements that are perfect for Valentine's Day cards.  I paired the die cuts with some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn to create a fun, floral card. The sentiment looks so pretty cut in gold glitter cardstock! And it's so fun to create cards made entirely from die cuts!

And I really like how easy it is to create the floral branches. I also used different shades of cardstock from Lawn Fawn for the flowers, branches, and bow. Here's a close up on the card:

I also created another card set with the large die of the month set. Another really cute element in this die set is the wrapped flower bouquet!

The bouquet is die cut from patterned paper and it includes score lines to make it very easy to fold! I added a pink bow to the bouquet, then added some flowers and leaves inside. To give the flowers more detail, I added a drop of Nuvo clear drops to the center of the flower.

I took a piece of pink cardstock and splattered it with Worn Lipstick distress oxide ink. Then, I glued the bouquet in place, stamped a sentiment from the Sentimental Words stamp set, and finished the card by adding a few clear sequins. I really like how this card turned out, so I created another one with a birthday theme!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day and enjoy the first day of the new year! :)
