Lawnscaping #126 - Sweets

Hi there! It's that time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! Yay!

The challenge is to use something sweet on your project. Here is the card that I created for this challenge:

I added a sweet, blue cupcake! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Jungle," "Simple Stitched Hillside Borders," "Bake Me a Cake," "Clark's ABCs," "Happy Everything," and patterned paper from Perfectly Plaid and Let's Polka in the Meadow. I started by adding the blue and green patterned paper to the card base, and stamping the sentiment. I had to mirror stamp the snake to get the one facing the other way, and I added cute, little birthday hats! I also stamped and colored the cupcake, grass, and flowers. I cut out the images and attached them to the scene with glue.

The snakes look excited to take a lick of that yummy cupcake! Hehe!

I hope that you're able to play along with us because the winner will receive a free stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!! :)

Lawnscaping #125 - Color Splash

Hello! It's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!

This weeks challenge is to make a black and white card with a splash of color! Here is the card that I created:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Cole's ABCs" dies, "Stitched 4 Bar Rectangle" dies, "Happy Everything," "Rooting For You," and Let's Polka in the Meadow paper. I also used Avery Elle's "Peonies" stamp set for the flowers and leaves. The flowers are all colored with Prismacolor pencils, and I also added some black stickles to the sentiment for some sparkle! The frame around the sentiment is created by using two of the rectangle dies together.

I hope that you're able to play along with us for this challenge because the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ellen Hutson!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #108 - Stars and/or Stripes

Hi everyone! I'm sorry for the delay in my Lawnscaping Challenge post! But better late than never, right? :)

This new challenge is all about adding stars and/or stripes to your project! I decided to focus on stripes, and so I created this chevron striped birthday card set!

Lawn Fawn's "Chevron Backdrops" would be great for this card, but since I don't have that stamp set, I had to create a chevron stripe mask. I just cut out the chevron stripe mask from a piece of card stock, and adhered it to my card with washi tape wherever I wanted a stripe to be!

Each of these cards feature Lawn Fawn's "Cole's ABCs" die, "Happy Everything" stamp set, and Lawn Fawn inks including Freshly Cut Grass, Mermaid, and Wild Rose.

I also added some black enamel dots to the cards to give it some extra detail. I really like how simple and cute these turned out!

I tried to make the colors darker on the first stripe and lighter on the last one, but that only turned out well was the blue card. Oh well, they're still cute!  Here is a close up on the sentiment:

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope that you're able to play along with this current challenge! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn (and they have some really cute new products to choose from!)

Thanks everyone and have a great week! :)

Lawnscaping #100 - Birthday Celebration!!

Hi everyone!! Today is a super special day because it is Lawnscaping's 100th challenge!! We are all so excited and we wanted to celebrate in an extra special way, so each of the girls on the design team invited a special party guest to play along with us today!

The theme is birthday/celebration! Like I mentioned above, each of the girls invited a special guest to the party, and my guest is Allison Patrizio!! She is so sweet and I'm so glad that we've become friends through crafting! She always creates the cutest scenes for her cards, and she definitely did that again for this card! Here is the card that Allison created for the party:

Isn't that birthday scene just adorable?! I really like how she added the smaller whale to the scene and all of the birthday hats on the critters! And the detail that she added on the bubbles is such a cute idea! Be sure to stop by her blog to read more about her card!

And here is the card that I created for this challenge:

I have really liked the look of inlaid die cutting, so I wanted to give it a try! It's so easy and super fun! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bannerific," and "Happy Everything" stamp sets, as well as the "Hearts" die cuts and silver sparkle Lawn Trimmings. I started by die cutting a bunch of hearts on the white card stock panel. Then, I die cut a bunch of hearts from different patterned papers. To get the hearts to stay in place, I used a little bit of tape on the back of the card stock so that they don't fall out! Then, I finished the card by adding the sentiment, twine, and some sequins. I really like how it turned out!

Don't forget to stop by the Lawnscaping Challenge blog to see what the rest of the design team and their guests created for this challenge! There is a TON of inspiration on the blog this week and I really hope that you'll be inspired to play along! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn (and it's perfect timing since the new products will be released this week!!)

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good day! :)

Lawnscaping #90 - Critters!

Good morning! Did you have a nice weekend? Things went well here - we went to a high school football game (they won - yay!), and relaxed the rest of the weekend (while watching some other football games as well). It was cold this weekend, so it was nice to just relax inside!

Anyways, it is that time again - another Lawnscaping Challenge! This is definitely a fun one! The theme is critters galore!

All of the critters from Lawn Fawn are adorable, so it was hard to pick which ones to use. I finally decided to use the "Critters in the Forest" set and this is what I created:

I think it's perfect for a fall birthday! All of the images are from "Critters in the Forest" stamp set, and the sentiment is from "Happy Everything." I have used the that critters set before, but I never used the mushrooms or leaves images, so I made sure to include them this time! The images are all colored with Prismacolor pencils.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to play along because the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Lawn Fawn (and you can use it to pick out another cute critters set - or anything else!)

Have a nice day! :)

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! I have a few Mother's Day cards to share with you this morning! :)

For my first card, I used a Halloween set to create a card for moms! It's fun to try and stretch your stamp supplies for different occasions!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in Costume" and "Quinn's ABCs" stamp sets, as well as "Quinn's ABCs" dies. Since this is a Mother's Day card, I gave the owl a pink cape and mask (and I even added some sparkle to the cape!).

For my next card, I created a bouquet of flowers! What mom doesn't enjoy receiving flowers on Mother's Day (or any other day...)?!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Our Friendship Grows" and "Happy Everything" stamp sets, as well as some gold sparkle twine. I attached the flowers with a bunch of foam tape to give them a lot of dimension!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you have a nice weekend! :)

It includes "Cole's ABCs" die, "Hello Sunshine," "Good Fortune" (for the will), "Happy Everything" (for the valentine), "My Silly Valentine" (for the you) , "Milo's ABCs" (for the question mark), and "Critters in Costume" (for the my). CAS-ual Fridays #116

Hello everyone! I am so excited because I was able to find some time this week to play along with the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge! The challenge is to use sequins and chevrons in your project.

I decided to use the sequins and chevrons to make this simple anniversary card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "A Birdie Told Me," "Happy Everything," and "Happily Ever After" stamp sets, as well as Lawn Fawn's mixed sequins. The speech bubbles are both cut from patterned paper and attached with foam tape for a little bit of dimension. The sentiment is stamped in "Wet Cement" by Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Wanna Sketch No. 8

Happy Saturday! Whew, we made it to the weekend! Today we are enjoying some cooler, fall weather complete with a football game and some relaxing. Plus I was able to take a nap today, so it's been a good day so far! :)

I recently came across a sketch challenge at Dahlhouse Design's blog. I thought the sketch so was cute, so I had to play along. Here is the sketch:

DDWS8

And here is the card that I created based on this sketch:

My husband and I are celebrating our four year anniversary later this month, so this is the card that he is giving to me (yes, he has me make my own cards.) This card features some of Lawn Fawn's new releases including "Into the Woods" stamp set and "Stitched Journaling Card" die set. It also features "Happy Everything" and "Sweet Christmas" stamp sets . I stamped the cute little foxes onto colored and white paper, and then paper pieced them together. I also had to do some mirror stamping for the girl fox. I finished the card with a cute bow tie and hair bow! :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! :)

Thanks!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend. Did you get to do anything fun? We were able to spend some time on my in-law's boat yesterday! It was a beautiful day and it was fun to hang out with the family for the day!

I have a quick card to share with you today! And it's another one layer card!

This card features various stamp sets from Lawn Fawn including "Quinn's ABCs," "A Birdie Told Me," "Happy Everything," "Good Fortune," and "Plus One." I stamped all of the images in black, colored them with some markers, and added Stickles to the letters, hearts, and stars.

This card also fits perfectly with the current Lawnscaping Challenge! There are still a few days left to play along! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #61 - Sketch

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share this post with you today, because it is my first Lawnscaping post!! Ahh!! The Lawnscaping girls are so wonderful and I am so thankfully to be a part of their team!

Anyways, the current Lawnscaping Challenge is to create a card based on this sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch!

The new circle dies from Lawn Fawn would work great with this card and challenge, but if you don't have circle dies, you can trace around ribbon and washi tape spools! For this card, the patterned paper is from Pebbles and all of the images are from Lawn Fawn.

I also made this card for my in-laws anniversary, but I put the wrong year on the card! Opps! It will have to wait until next year. :)

Don't forget to check out the other projects from the design team members and to play along with Lawnscaping! The winner will receive a gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you have a great Monday! :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi everyone! I have a card to share with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Be My Valentine!

The challenge is to use the above photo as inspiration for you Valentine's Day card. Here is the card that I came up with for the challenge!

I added a cute, pink patterned paper from Pebbles to the base of white card stock. I rounded the corners of the card to make it a little bit different. Then, I stamped the speech bubbles and sentiments onto white card stock and a few hearts onto pink card stock. I cut everything out, and attached it to the card with foam tape! The stamps are from Lawn Fawn's "A Birdie Told Me" and "Happy Everything."

Thanks for stopping by! There are still a few days left to play along with the Lawncaping Challenge, so don't forget to enter! :)

Happy Everything!

Morning everyone! I hope that you are having a wonderful weekend so far! I was asked to babysit some wonderful children yesterday and today I get to relax at home, so I would say that things are going well here!

How has the weather been in your area? Here it has been very, very cold and just yucky! So, I thought I would share a colorful card to brighten your day!

I am definitely enjoying the new washi tape! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything," "A Birdie Told Me," and "Happily Ever After."

Well, I hope that brightened your day! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #25

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

Welcome to the last day of the 25 Cards of Christmas! I had a lot of fun creating and sharing these cards with you, and I hope that you have enjoyed them! The last card in the series is actually a birthday card!

As much fun as it is to get gifts and to enjoy Christmas cookies, Jesus is the true reason for the season! Happy Birthday, Jesus!

This card features a recycled Christmas card from last year. I attached the image onto a kraft card base, and then used Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" and "Plus One" stamp sets to decorate around the image.

I pray that you and your family have a wonderful and safe Christmas day.

 Merry Christmas! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #20

Good morning everyone! Only 5 days left until Christmas! Are you ready? :)

Here is the 20th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas series!

The red patterned paper is from Recollection's Jolly and Bright set. Then, I hand drew and cutout a Christmas tree and decorated it with images from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" stamp set. The gumdrops are the perfect size for Christmas lights! Then, I stamped and cutout the sentiment which is from Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" set. I also added some stickles to the edge of the tree and some glossy accents to give the lights some shine!

Thanks for stopping by! And thank you for all of your comments! They always brighten my day! :)

CASolgy Guest Designer!

Good morning everyone! This week I have the privilege to be the guest designer at the CASology Blog!! I am so excited about this opportunity! Thank you Melissa, and the rest of the girls for allowing me to be a part of your team!

This week's challenge is all about stars! So, I created this card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Happy Everything" and "A Birdie Told Me" stamp sets. I stamped the stars onto green and yellow card stock, cut the stars out, and arranged them into a Christmas tree shape. Then I stamped the sentiment below the Christmas tree! This did take a little bit of time, but I think it's so cute! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to create a card for the current CASology Challenge! You have until Sunday at Noon (CST) to play along!

P.S. This is also the 18th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas! We're getting close to the end! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #17

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a relaxing weekend and that you're ready for another fun week! I am so excited to share today's card with you! This is definitely one of my favorites. It just makes me smile every time! Here is the 17th card in the 25 Cards of Christmas!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "A Birdie Told Me," "Happy Everything," and "Cozy Christmas" stamp sets. I made a 3x3 inch card and added some papers from Recollection's Jolly and Bright paper pack as the background. The milk and cookies were stamped, cut out, and then colored with colored pencils. What do you think? :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! :)

25 Cards of Christmas #16

Good morning! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend so far! I am back again with another 25 Cards of Christmas! We're already at number 16!

For this card, I created a 3x3 kraft card base and attached red patterned paper to the front. Then I cut out three Christmas trees and three stars and attached them with foam tape to the card. I finished it off by stamping Merry Christmas below the trees! The trees, stars, and sentiment come from Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas" and "Happy Everything" stamp sets!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Did you do anything fun this weekend? :)
