LF Inspiration Week: Magic Picture Changer

Good morning! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the new Magic Picture Changer die! This die is so creative and helps create an awesome, interactive card!

This card looks intimidating, but it's really easy to assemble. Check out the Lawn Fawn YouTube for a tutorial on how to use the Magic Picture Changer die. I used Riley's ABCs to stamp the sentiment onto the first part of the die. To create the speech bubble, I inked the bottom portion of a speech bubble from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set. Then, I ink blended around the sentiment with Distress Oxide inks.

I did the same thing to create the sentiment on the slider part of the die. I wanted to make sure to change the speech bubble so that it looked like the other bunny was talking. Once the slider pieces were finished, I weaved the pieces together and glued the sides down.

Then, I die cut the area around the slider part, ink blended it with Distress Oxides inks, and added a piece of ink blended grass along the bottom. I stamped the images from the new Eggstra Amazing Easter and Butterfly Kisses stamp sets and colored the images with Copic markers. I arranged the images on the frame, attached a few of the images with foam tape and some with glue, and then attached it to the slider.

To finish the card, I added the pull tap which was cut from Raspberry cardstock and stamped with the Push Here stamp set. I taped a piece of Spring Fling patterned paper to a white card base, and then attached the slider to the card with foam tape.  Here's a look at the card with it's surprise message:

The design team has some amazing examples on the Lawn Fawn blog, so check it out! This die is so creative and easy to use! I can't wait to see what everyone creates with this die!

LF Inspiration Week: Year Eight

Hi everyone! I hope that your weekend is going well! We're enjoying the gorgeous weather in central PA this weekend! It's such a nice change from the snow last weekend, haha!

The Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at the Year Eight stamp set! I created a fun interactive birthday card!

When you pull the tab, it reveals the fortune! To make the fortunes slide, just add a small slit behind the fortune cookies with an x-acto knife, and slide the fortunes behind the slit. I did have to add extra paper at the end of the fortune to make sure that the fortunes don't slide the whole way out. And since the fortunes aren't very long, I added a tab with the words "pull here" stamped from the Push Here set, so that the fortunes are easier to slide out. I also added some hearts around the cookies with the Hearts die cut from Raspberry cardstock.

This card is actually a recreation of a card that I made a few years ago with the retired Good Fortune stamp set from LF. You can check out that card here! It's fun to recreate cards from before and see how your style may have changed throughout the years!

LF Inspiration Week: Push Here

Good morning! I'm back again to share more Lawn Fawn inspiration with you today! :)

Today, we are featuring the Push Here stamp set, which is perfect to use with interactive cards! The set includes phrases to help your recipients know if they need to slide, push, pull, or lift the card in different spots.

I stamped "slide me!" above the bike so that friends will know that the girl moves! I think my favorite stamp in this set is that little arrow!

Don't forget to check out the other awesome cards on the Lawn Fawn blog! There's a giveaway there, too!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend! :)

Lawn Fawn and Chibitronics

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a great week so far! I can't believe that it's almost the end of May, which means summer is almost here! My husband is a high school teacher, so he'll have a lot more time at home once school is out - yay!

This week, the Lawn Fawn team is collaborating with Chibitronics, an awesome company that makes "circuit stickers" to light up your cards and projects! It is so much fun to create light up cards!

I used the new Ahoy, Matey set to make this cute scene. And when you push on the X....

... the treasure lights up! It's so fun! The "push here" and arrow are from the new set Push Here and the banner is from the Bannertastic set. I die cut the scene from white cardstock and the Stitched Journaling Card and created the circuit on the kraft card base. I also stamped a bunch of images from the Ahoy, Matey set on the kraft base for a fun background.

There are more light up cards on the Lawn Fawn blog, so check it out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! :)
