LF Inspiration Week: Window Scene: Winter

Hello everyone! I'm back today with a card set that uses the Window Scene: Winter stamp set from Lawn Fawn! This set is fun to help create quick and easy scenes. As the title suggests, it is used to create winter scenes, but by using different colors, you can also create an autumn themed card, too!

I started by stamping the window scene onto white cardstock and coloring the background with Copic markers. For the autumn scene, I added a pile of leaves and mouse from the You Autumn Know and the dog from Joy To All. It looks like they're having a blast in that pile of leaves!

The paper from the Sweater Weather Remix collection is perfect for fall cards, so I used the green for the scalloped border on the scene (that die is included in the window scene die set!) and the leaf and acorn paper for the background. I also used the yellow paper in that collection for the Scripty Hello sentiment since it coordinated perfectly with the other patterned paper! The "friend" sentiment is from the Thanks Thanks Thanks stamp set.

Sometimes I run out of design ideas, so I love it when I can find designs that can easily be switched up with different colors. That's what I did for the winter card! I used the same design but added a dog and bone from the Furry and Bright stamp set and colored the scene in cooler colors.

For this card, I used the patterned paper from the Let It Shine Snowflakes collection. The silver foil snowflakes are so pretty on that background paper! I used the Scripty Merry for the sentiment and added a white embossed "christmas" from the Window Scene: Winter stamp set.

So which season do you prefer - autumn or winter? Autumn is definitely my favorite!

LF Inspiration Week: Furry and Bright, and Joy To All

 Hello friends! The Lawn Fawn design team has been busy creating Christmas cards to share with you this week that feature products from the latest Lawn Fawn release. Today, we are sharing cards that use the adorable Furry and Bright stamp set. Aren't those puppies adorable?!

I stamped and colored the cute puppies from that set and die cut them with the coordinating dies. I'm not the greatest at coloring, but I tried my best to make the one puppy look like a dash hound. Did it work?

The background is the new Let It Shine Snowflake patterned paper and I also added a white frame with the Stitched Rectangle Frames. The puppies are arranged on the background and attached with foam tape, and then I started working on the sentiment.

I wanted to make a punny sentiment for this card, so I die cut the "happy" with the Scripty Happy die and stamped the "howlidays" with the Riley's ABCs stamp set into a Bannertastic banner. To make the happy gold, I added a layer of gold stencil paste - it looks so pretty!

I have a second card to share that showcases the Joy To All stamp set. The little kids are so cute in this set, so I arranged the images in this card to make it look like the kids are getting a puppy for Christmas!

The puppy in the Joy to All set fits perfectly into the box from the Holiday Helpers set, so I make it look like he's popping out of a Christmas present! The background was created with the Plaid Stencils and the floor is the Woodgrain cardstock.

Did you ever get a puppy or a pet for Christmas? I didn't get one for Christmas, but I did get a kitten for my 5th birthday!

WCMD with Ellen Hutson

 Hello friends! Happy World Card Making Day! Are you making cards today to celebrate? We're going camping with family, so there won't be any card making for me today, but I can't wait to see what everyone creates today!

I have a card to share today with the a new Ellen Hutson stamp set called Bear Ware Grand Tour by Julie! This travelling bear is just so cute and I like there are so many accessories for the bear and different places for him to travel to!

My bear decided to travel to France today! I started by stamping and coloring the bear and images with Copic markers. Using the coordinating die cuts, I cut out the images and set them to the side while I worked on the background.

For stamp sets that have lots of cute, little images, I like to stamp the images onto cardstock to create my own patterned paper! I started with a piece of kraft cardstock and stamped the images in various places with embossing ink. When you stamp in embossing ink, it creates a water mark look on whatever color you use.

After the background was created, I arranged the bear and images, and attached them with foam tape. The sentiment is white heat embossed onto black cardstock to make it stand out against the busy background. I finished by adding a few clear jewels around the images and tying a twine bow along the top.

LF Release Day!

 Happy Lawn Fawn release day! The new release is now available at the Lawn Fawn store. Which are your favorite products from the new release?

I have one last card to share this week that features the new Say What Holiday Critters, which is a free gift with a $60+ purchase!

This card also uses the new Stitched Snowflake Backdrop. How pretty is that backdrop die?! I used distress oxide inks to ink blend over the stitched snowflakes. Then, I attached the critters and speech bubbles with foam tape. The sentiment is white heat embossed onto Mermaid cardstock, die cut with the Fancy Wavy Banners. Finally. I added a white frame with the Stitched Rectangle Frames and glued on a few sequins.
