LF and EH Blog Hop

Hi friends! I'm excited to be joining in the Ellen Hutson and Lawn Fawn blog hop today to share inspiration with the exclusive S'more the Merrier stamp set! This set is so cute and is only available at Ellen Hutson. This set is part of the Essentials by Ellen Summer of Stamping. They are hoping to spread a little crafty sunshine with a month of new releases and a whole lotta' fun! Now, onto the inspiration! 

For my first card, I used Lawn Fawn inks to create an ink blended background. I used masking tape to mask off the border of the white cardstock panel. I stamped the critters and images from the S'more the Merrier set, colored them with Copic markers, and attached them to the background. I also gave them the picnic blanket from the Crazy Antics set. Part of the sentiment is white heat embossed onto black cardstock, and the rest is cut from Woodgrain Cardstock with Finley's ABCs. Here's a closer look at the card:

For my second card, I created a night time forest scene for the critters to cook their marshmallows! I started by ink blending with Distress Oxide inks to create the night sky and grass. I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle dies and Simple Grassy Hillsides dies to create the background. I also added some stars in the sky with the Starry Sky stencil and Yeti ink.

I added a few trees with the Birch Tree die and ink blended them with Distress Oxide inks. The critters are all colored with Copic markers and attached with foam tape. How cute are they with their marshmallows and sticks?!

My last card uses the Peekaboo Backdrop die to highlight different s'more making scenes! The scenes are created the same way as the card above and the sentiment is white heat embossed onto the background of one of the smaller scenes. Those skies just look so cute with the soft, white stars!

Happy Puppies Card with Pretty Pink Posh

Good morning, friends! I hope you're all having a great week so far. I have a slim line card to share today that features some adorable puppies from Pretty Pink Posh!

The puppies are from the Playful Puppies set, and they're just so cute! I used Copic markers to color them in a variety of shades and patterns. I think the sleeping puppy is my favorite!

To create the background, I used the large and small slimline dies from Lawn Fawn. The skies are ink blended with Mermaid ink and the Cloudy Stencil to give a soft, cloudy sky. For the grass, I used the Slimline Stitched Hillside Borders and ink blended it with Cilantro ink.

I attached the backgrounds to a white cardstock, attached the hillside with double sided tape, and attached the puppies and accessories with foam tape. I finished by stamping a few hearts in Wild Rose ink and the sentiment from the Thoughtful Greetings stamp set.

Welcome to the Neighborhood Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a nice weekend. Did you do anything fun? We had a yard sale which isn't "fun" but it kept us busy. And it went better than the last one we had a few years ago, haha!

We had a few new neighbors move in on our street earlier this year, but we weren't able to welcome them to the neighborhood because of everything shutting down. So, a few weeks ago we decided it was time to introduce ourselves and say hi! I made these cards to go along with some cookies - the perfect way to make new friends. :)

I used the row of houses from the Simply Celebrate Spring stamp set, and I colored them with Copic markers. I also stamped and die cut a few trees, clouds, and the sun from the Happy Village stamp set. Once everything was colored and die cut, I started working on the background. I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and lightly ink blended the background with Lawn Fawn inks. I placed the houses on the middle of the white panel so that I knew where to put the sentiment. Then, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Village set and a custom sentiment with Violet's ABCs. I then added the images with foam tape, stamped a few birds in the sky, and attached the panel to a white card base. Here's a closer look at the card:

The new neighbors liked the cookies and cards and we made some new friends! :)
