Lawnscaping #105 - Watercolors

Hi everyone! Sorry that my post is a little bit late. This weekend was so busy that I completely forgot to post it until now!

Anyways, the current Lawnscaping challenge is all about watercolors!

Watercolor backgrounds are always so, so pretty, but I have such a hard time making mine look as nice, so I decided to use inks as watercolors to color my images!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Best Pun Ever" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets, as well as Wild Rose, Freshly Cut Grass, and Mermaid ink pads. I also used Hero Arts Stone Wash and Butter Bar inks for the yellow and dark blue popsicles. To color the images, I dabbed the inks onto some wax paper and added some water. Then using a paint brush, I colored the images with the ink! Lawn Fawn's inks worked really well for this technique (the hero art inks turned out splotchy!)

Hello again! I have another card to share with you that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn Blog today!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Gleeful Garden" stamp and dies, "Flirty Frames," "Riley's ABC's," "Quinn's ABC's," and "Violet's ABC's." stamp sets, and "Let's Polka, Mon Amie" patterned paper. I wanted a way to help frame the sentiment, so I used part of the border from one of the "Flirty Frames." Here is a close up on the card:

The images are all colored with Prismacolor pencils, and I also added some details to the images with a white paint pen. I think the sunflower is my favorite image from the Gleeful Garden set! And that snail is so cute!

Lawnscaping #104 - Sketch

 Hi everyone! I hope that you had a nice weekend! The weather was gorgeous this weekend, so we were able to spend a lot of time outside. I hope that the nice weather is finally here to stay!

Anyways, it is time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to create a project based off of the sketch.

I was inspired by the circle in the sketch to create this card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Flirty Frames" stamp and die, "Stitched Journaling Card" die, "Hello Sunshine" stamp, Lawn Trimming, and a bunch of patterned paper including "Let's Polka," "Sweater Weather," and "Hello Sunshine" petite paper packs. This colorful card is definitely going to brighten someone's mailbox! :)

Lawnscaping #103 - Dimension

Good morning, everyone! I hope that you had a great Easter with your family and friends! We did a lot of traveling this past weekend, but it was great to be able to visit with everyone! And it was so much fun watching my daughter hunt for eggs! :)

It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge is to incorporate dimension into your project, by using double sided tape, texture, foam tape, or whatever else!

I used a bunch of foam tape (I use that stuff all the time!) to create this cute anniversary scene:

I used Lawn Fawn's "Small Stitched Square Stackables" dies to create a window with some blue paper behind it for the sky. This card also features "Into the Woods," "Milo's ABCs," and some Lawn Trimmings. I mirror stamped the female deer, colored her a little bit lighter, and added some eye lashes. She's so cute! Here is a close up of the scene:

The top layer of grass is attached with two layers of foam tape, so it really stands out!

Welcome Sweet Baby

 Hi everyone! I hope that things are going well with you! I can't believe it, but it is actually snowing today! Noo!! This better be the last of the snow because I'm so ready for the warmer weather!!

Anyways, I have some cards to share with you today that were featured on the Lawn Fawn blog yesterday! I made these cute welcome baby cards!

I have wanted to make a baby card with a mom and baby elephant for so long, and when Lawn Fawn released the "Critters in the Jungle" stamp set, I knew this was my chance!

I think I made the pink one first and then realized that I really like how it turned out, so I made a blue one as well! 

These cards feature a ton of products from Lawn Fawn: "Critters in the Jungle," "Love You Tons," "Flirty Frames," "Critters Down Under" (for the sentiment), "Milk and Cookie" (for the sentiment), Let's Polka petite paper pack, "Heart" dies, "Small Stitched Square Stackables" dies, and Lawn Trimmings.

Lawnscaping #102 - Distress

 Good morning! I hope that things are going well with you! I am so excited because we're suppose to have really nice weather today! My daughter and I are going to take a nice, long walk this afternoon to enjoy the warming weather! :)

Anyways, it's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge!

This challenge is all about adding some distressed texture to your project. I don't have any distress inks, but I do have this cool little sanding tool, so I used it to distress the edges of my patterned paper!

I made a colorful grid card with patterned paper from Pebbes "Sunnyside" collection. I also used Lawn Fawn's "Small Stitched Square Stackables" die and "Best Pun Ever" stamp set for the sentiment and hearts. It's hard to tell in the photo, but the squares with the sentiment are attached with foam tape, while the other squares are sewed in place. Here is a close up to see the distressed edges:

I'm also horrible at sewing in a straight line, but I think it still turned out well!

Lawn Fawn's 5th Birthday!

Hi everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend! A few friends have gotten together today to wish Lawn Fawn a Happy 5th Birthday!! Lawn Fawn is my favorite stamp company (in case you couldn't tell!). Everything they have made so far is super cute, and Kelly and Mike are some of the sweetest people ever! I can't wait to see what other cute products they come up with!

So, here are the birthday cards that I made:

I made the yellow window card first, and then decided that I really liked how it turned out, so I made a few more in different colors! I made a red and pink one:

And finally a blue birthday card!

Each of these cards feature Lawn Fawn's "Year Two" and "Year Four" stamp sets, as well as "Gnome Sweet Gnome" (for the grass), "Winter Gifts" (for the 'to you'), "Small Stitched Square Stackables" dies, and different Lawn Trimmings. Here is a close up of the yellow card to show some of the details:

The frame is attached with foam tape to make it stand out, and all of the images (the presents, turtle, bird, and balloon) are attached with foam tape as well. I had the cut the stamp from "Winter Gifts" to get the sentiment like that, but I think it was worth it.

In hindsight, I should have made five different cards since it's Lawn Fawn's 5th birthday. Maybe next year! :)
