Hoppy Easter!

Happy Easter, everyone!! I am "hopping" in to share a fun Easter card with you today! This card was created a while ago and recently published in the Paper Crafts Stamp It! Techniques, Volume 2, which was available in January!! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Happy Easter" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets. I used a grass punch by Fiskars, but you could also use the grass die from Lawn Fawn! I made it look like the bunny was hopping through the grass by using a shadow technique.

To get this look, I made a mask of the bunny from a post-it note. Then I stamped the top layer of the bunny, laid down the mask, and re-stamped the bunny slightly to the left without re-inking the stamp. I did that one more time, again without re-inking the stamp. It is such a fun technique to create "movement" in your cards!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a blessed Easter with family and friends. He is risen! He is risen indeed!! :)

Happy Birthday!

Happy Friday, everyone! The weekend is here! Do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? It's suppose to be really nice here, so we're going to enjoy the weather and visit a bunch of family members! Plus, we'll get to eat lots of yummy food at our early Easter dinner. Win, win, win!! :)

I have wanted to play along with the Paper Smooches SPARKS challenges for a LONG time and I finally got the chance! Granted, I have had this card made for a while now, but I think it's finally time to share it with you!

This card features Paper Smooches' "Hullabaloo" stamp set. I really like that it includes a solid image of the birthday presents and banners because it makes it super easy to color the images! I first stamped the outline of the images, stamped the colored inside, and then cut each image out. The birthday presents are attached with foam tape and the banner is machine sewn together and also attached with foam tape. I added some glitter ribbon to the ends of the banner and some stickles to give it some sparkle!! :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that you can enjoy some warmer weather this weekend, too! :)

Lawnscaping #79 - Try a New Technique

Happy Monday everyone! Time for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! :)

The challenge is to create a card/project using a technique that you have never tried before! It sounds intimidating, but it's actually a great way to practice some new skills and maybe find a new technique that you enjoy!

The technique that I tried is partial die cutting! Here is my card:

The card did not turn out as well as I had hoped, but it was a great technique to learn! I taped the "smile" die cuts onto the yellow paper and only die cut until I was close to the bottom of the letters. That way they are still attached to the yellow paper! Then, I (carefully!) used an x-acto knife to cut a straight line between the letters and to the edge of the paper.

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Good Fortune" stamp set, gold sparkle Lawn Trimmings, Stitched Scalloped Border die, and Cole's ABCs die. I also used the heart die from the "Trim the Tree" set to die cut a heart from cork! That is also a new technique that I tried! :)

Oh Happy Birthday!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I have shared a card with you for fun! I have been very busy lately keeping up with the little one (she rolled over a few days agao!!) and also getting ready for my first craft sale! It is only for the teachers at my husband's school and I doubt I will sell many items, but it's a start! :)

The card I have to share with you today is a super easy (and cute) birthday card!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" and "Year Two" stamp sets. I stamped the balloons in some colorful ink and I added stickles to give them some sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the weekend! It's finally suppose to feel like spring here! :)

Lawnscaping #78 - Clean and Simple

Happy Monday! It's that time of the month again - another Lawnscaping Challenge!! Yay! This challenge is all about a clean and simple style - my favorite! :)

Here is the clean and simple card that I created for this challenge:

I really like how this card came together! This card uses a bunch of different Lawn Fawn sets including "Milo's ABCs," "Home Sweet Home,"Our Friendship Grows," "Trim the Tree" (for the hearts), and two of the complementary stamps that Lawn Fawn includes in their orders.

I liked this card so much that I made it into a little card set! :)

Don't forget to play along with this challenge! The winner will receive a Lawn Fawn stamp set of their choice!! Awesome!

Hippo Love

Hello everyone! The little one is down for a nap, which means it is craft time for me! Woo hoo! :)

I recently purchased some Sweet Stamp Shop stamps and I have been having fun playing with their cute images. Here is a card that I created:

Please ignore the horrible photograph. I still haven't figured out a good place to take pictures in our new house, but I'll find one soon. This card features SSS's "Announcing" and "Too Hip" stamp sets. The hippos are so much fun to play with, especially since the set includes so many different accessories!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a nice afternoon! The weather is finally starting to warm up a little bit, so I might take walk this afternoon! :)

Lawnscaping #77 - Bling it!

Happy Monday! I hope that you had a nice weekend! We were getting ready for another snow storm to hit our area this weekend (they were calling for over a foot of snow!) but it ended up being nothing more than some snow flurries! My husband is bummed that he has to go to school this morning! :)

I'm excited to share my card with you for the current Lawnscaping Challenge - Bling it!

Ohh, sparkly! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" and Let's Polka mixed sequins. To get the sequins in a rainbow shape, I lightly drew some arcs to use as a pattern and glued the sequins along the lines. Then I stamped and cut out some clouds to attached with foam tape at the end of the rainbows, and finished the card by stamping the sentiment. I hope that it will make someone smile when they get this in the mail! :)

You have until March 12th to play along with this challenge! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp - a great place to shop! :)
