Thanks For Your Kindness with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! I hope that you all had a great weekend. Did you do anything fun? We spent one day on the boat with my in-laws. It was such a fun time and it was so pretty with the changing leaves! We also put in a basketball hoop at my new house. My husband has been dreaming about that basketball hoop since we first saw the house, haha!

I have a fun fall card to share with you that was inspired by the World Card Making Day challenge on the Scapbook and Cards Today Magazine blog! The color challenge was hosted by Cathy Zielske and it was to use warm analogous colors on your card. 

I dug through my scrap patterned paper pieces and found a few shades that matched the colors in the challenge. Then, I used the leaf dies in the Acorn House Die by Lawn Fawn to cut a bunch of leaves. I arranged the leaves onto a piece of Let It Shine patterned paper cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. If you look closely at the card, you'll notice that I only added two leaves to the third row of leaves so that the sentiment wasn't too crowed with extra leaves. 

Once the leaves were arranged, I started to glue them in place. I only glued the center part of the leaf so that I could curl them up on the sides. It helped to add some extra dimension to the card! I attached the background to a white card base and started working on the sentiment.

I started by white heat embossing the sentiments from the Big Scripty Words and Jump For Joy stamp sets. I die cut the thanks with the coordinating die, and I used my paper trimmer to cut out the rest of the sentiment. I attached the sentiments with foam tape.

 This card turned out so colorful and fun, and it's perfect for fall! Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you have a great week! :)
