Hi friends! The Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues again today - yay! The design team is sharing a ton of amazing inspiration with the Over The Mountain Borders and Car Critters Christmas Add-On stamp sets.
I used the mountain dies to create a fun trifold card! I started with two A2 sized white card base with a side fold. I opened one of the cards and used the tree border with three trees to cut just one side of the card base. I made sure to not go through both sides of the card base by lining up the center of the card with the end of my die cutting plates. I repeated the process by die cutting the second card base with the tree border with four trees and I made sure to cut the border higher up on the card base.
After both of the card bases were die cut with the borders, I used the coordinating stamps to stamp the tree borders along the edges of the cards. Then, I started to assemble the trifold card. Each of the card bases had one side that was not die cut, so I added double sided tape and attached the card bases together. Hopefully my card pictures will help explain the card a little better!
After the card bases were attached together, I decided where I wanted the mountain in the background, and stamped the mountain border onto the card base. I colored the mountains, sky, and trees with Copic markers. Since the Copics bled onto the back side of the card folds, I stamped and colored a bunch of trees from the Winter Skies and Yeti or Not stamp sets and glued them on the back of the folds to cover up the ink marks. I also added a bunch of trees to the inside scenes on the card, too.
The reindeer from the Car Critters Christmas Add-On sets are so cute that I just had to add one peeking out from behind a tree, haha! To create the sentiments, I white heat embossed the sayings from the Offset Sayings: Christmas stamp set, trimmed the pieces with my paper trimmer, and attached the strips with foam tape.
When the card is fully opened, it reveals a fun scene with the reindeer taking home a Christmas tree! To help create the road, I used the Hillside Stencils. I traced the stencil onto a piece of scrap paper to create a mask for one side of the road, and I used the stencil on the other side of the road. The road is ink blended with distress oxide inks.
Once everything was glued and attached with the card, I added some extra details to the mountains and trees on the front of the card with the chucky glitter. It gives it some extra sparkle and gives the front of the card more interest.
Thanks for visiting today! I hope you like the card and I'll be back again tomorrow with more inspiration! :)
