Good morning, friends! I hope that you all had a great week. Do you have any fun plans for this weekend? We're going to be finishing up some house projects and probably starting a few new ones.
I have another card to share today that was my Spring Card Camp 2 homework! The lesson was on dry embossing with a stencil. I have dry embossed with dies before, but I have never used a stencil, so it was fun to play around with different stencils.
For my card, I started with a piece of Sunflower cardstock and dry embossed with the Ray of Light stencil from My Favorite Things. It's hard to see in the photos, but it adds such a fun detail to the cardstock! I then used Fake Tan ink to ink blend along the edges. I attached the cardstock to a white card base and added a white frame from the Leafy Tree Backdrop die (I just cut out the tree). Then, I stamped and cut out the clouds and sentiment which are from the Bon Voyage and Yay, Kites stamp sets, respectively. The clouds are from a retired set, but the clouds from Plane and Simple would work as well! The clouds are attached with foam tape, and the sentiment is attached with glue. Then, I finished the card by stamping a few hearts in Wild Rose ink. Here's a closer look at the card:
Thanks so much for visiting! Hopefully I'll be back again this weekend with more cards to share! Have a great day! :)
