LF Inspiration Week: Purrfectly Wicked

 Hi friends! The Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the Purrfectly Wicked stamp set. The kitties in this set are so purr-fect!

I wanted to create a bold sentiment for this card, so I used the black sparkle cardstock and die cut the letters with Finley's ABCs (my favorite!). The background was created with the Quilted Backdrop, the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die, and a piece of Spiffy Speckles patterned paper ink blended with purple ink around the edges.

I stamped and colored all of the images and arranged them on the background with foam tape. I think it's so cute that there are little sentiments to put on the jars. I also white heat embossed the first part of the sentiment onto black cardstock and die cut it with an Everyday Sentiment Banner.

I also have a second card to share that uses the books, vases, and shelves from the Purrfectly Wicked set. I arranged the shelves in a staggered layout onto a piece of orange textured dot cardstock. I wanted to make it look like the kitty was knocking off one of the vases on the shelf, haha!

The Scripty Happy die went great with the small halloween sentiment, and I cut the "happy" out of gold glitter cardstock to make it sparkle and shine! And just like the last card, I used the little stamps to add details to the book spines.

LF Inspiration Week: Flippy Flappy

Good morning! Today's Lawn Fawn card is my favorite for the week because it features the new interactive die - Flippy Flappy!

The Flippy Flappy die creates a fun hidden panel that flips up when the tab is pulled. It works great for gift cards, but it can also be used to add images to scenes or have a hidden sentiment!

Make sure to watch this video on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel to see how to assemble the Flippy Flappy die. They always seem intimidating at first, but they end up being not too scary.

For this card, I started by creating the cloudy scene with the Cloudy Stencil and Merman Ink. I stamped and die cut a variety of images from the new set You Autumn Know and arranged them on the card stock panel. Those mice are so so cute! Especially with the little leaves that they're holding! I also stamped part of the sentiment in black ink along the top of the panel.

I followed the instructions to assemble the Flippy Flappy die. I cut a small panel for the sentiment, ink blended clouds on it, and then stamped the first and last part of the sentiment. The "grateful" is from the Scripty Autumn Sentiments and is white heat embossed onto black cardstock. The black cardstock helps to create a big, bold sentiment! To finish the card, I stamped a few hearts around the scene and tied a twine bow along the top.

LF Inspiration Week: Scripty Autumn Sentiments and Fall Leaves Backdrop

Hi friends! I've been quiet on here for most of the summer, but now that we're back to our normal routines, I have some card inspiration to share with you all! Today is the start of the Lawn Fawn inspiration week and I have lots of cards to share with you! 

My first card this week showcases the new Fall Leaves Backdrop die. I used it to create the autumn colored and gold leaves for this card. To start, I die cut a piece of Bristol smooth card stock with the backdrop die. I kept all of the die cut pieces together, especially the large middle piece that is cut out, to make it easier to ink blend onto the leaves. Using red, orange, and yellow distress oxide inks, I ink blended the leaves to make it look like fall. After I was done ink blending, I then removed the die cuts pieces so that I was left with a beautiful leaf border.

I die cut a white border with the Stitched Rectangle Frame, glued it to the fall leaves backdrop, and attached it with foam tape to a piece of woodgrain cardstock. 

I wanted to create a fun sentiment for the middle of the card, so I white heat embossed the "fall" sentiment from the Scripty Autumn Sentiments onto black cardstock, and die cut it with the coordinating die. The "fall" is attached with foam tape to help it pop against the background. Then, using the Riley's ABCs stamp set, I stamped the "I love" and "best of all" above and below the "fall" sentiment. 

To add some extra details to eh card, I die cut a few extra leave from gold sparkle cardstock, arranged them around the border, and also glued on a few clear sequins.

Eat, Sleep, and Be Merry STAMPtember Exclusive

Hi everyone! It's time for the Lawn Fawn exclusive STAMPtember set available at Simon Says Stamp!

This adorable set is available only at Simon Says Stamp while supplies last, so make sure you order this soon! The sloths are so cute in this set, so I decided to create two cards for today.

I kept the backgrounds the same for the cards, but I used different sentiments and images. I started by die cutting a piece of blue cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Scalloped Square stackables and lightly ink blending the edges with blue ink. I used the Snowy Sky stencil along with some new stencil paste from Lawn Fawn (coming soon!) to create a snowy background. It's hard to see in the picture, but the stencil paste is shimmery!

While the stencil paste dried, I stamped, colored, and die cut the images. I also white heat embossed the sentiments onto black cardstock and cut them out with my paper trimmer. The images were arranged on the card and then attached with foam tape. The sentiments in this set are so funny!
