LF Inspiration Week: Let's Go Nuts, Big Acorn, and Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop

Hi everyone! Sorry for not sharing projects for quite a while. My family and I are getting ready to move this month, so we have been busy packing and getting things organized. However, the good news is that I have a bunch of projects to share with you this week for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!

The new fall and winter products will be available at the Lawn Fawn store on Thursday, September 10th, so start making your wish list!

The first project that I'm sharing today features the new Big Acorn mini stamp set. That acorn is so cute and the set includes a variety of smiley faces that you can add to the acorns. For my card, I used patterned paper from the Into the Woods Remix paper pad for the background. I'm so excited that this paper collection is back - it's one of my favorites! The tree branches are from the A Bug Deal stamp set, and the leaves are included in the Big Acorn set. I used the Everyday Sentiment Banner die to die cut the banner with black cardstock and then white heat embossed the sentiment. I finished the card by attaching a white frame cut from the Leafy Tree Backdrop (I used my scissors to cut out the tree).

My second card today uses Finley's ABCs to create a big bold sentiment with images from the new Let's Go Nuts stamp set!

How cute is that wagon full of acorns? And this sentiment makes the perfect belated birthday card! The background patterned paper is also from the Into the Woods Remix collection.

My last card is my favorite of the three cards. I used a few more squirrels and sentiment from the Let's Go Nuts stamp set, along with another new products - the Lift the Flap Tree Backdrop die!

I started by die cutting the tree backdrop with Kraft cardstock and lightly ink blended it with Gathered Twigs distress oxide inks. I added a small piece of brown cardstock behind the flaps, and added a sleeping squirrel in one and a pile of acorns in the other.

The background and grass are ink blended with distress oxide inks, and the grass is die cut with the Simple Grassy Hillsides. I added the squirrels and sentiments with foam tape, and finished by adding a white frame around the edge. Here's another look at the card with the flaps open:

Home is Where the Heart is Challenge with Lawn Fawn

 Hi friends! I hope that you're all doing well! We're in the middle of selling our house, buying a new house, packing, and getting ready to start school with the kids. Such a crazy, busy time!

I'm excited to share a card with you today for the Home is Where the Heart is Challenge by Tammy Stark! The challenge is to create a card or crafty project based on your hometown. The challenge starts today, August 14th and will be open until August 28th, and a winner will be chosen to receive a gift card from Lawn Fawn, woohoo! To participate, post a card picture on Facebook or Instagram and use the hashtag #homeiswheretheheartischallenge. 

I grew up in a small town near Pittsburgh, but my current hometown is near Penn State University. Since college football is a huge part of PSU and the town, I created a card with critters cheering for Penn State!

I started by creating the background with the Cloudy Stencil and Grassy Hillside Stencil. I also cut the background with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die (I think I use this die on almost every card, haha!). The critters are from the Really High Five and Big Thanks stamp sets. The footballs are from the Plan On It: School stamp set and the little banners were created with the Elphie Selfie set and paw print from the Meow You Doin' set. The sentiment was created with Riley's ABC's and speech bubbles from the A Birdie Told Me and Open Me stamp sets. All of the images are colored with Copic markers and most of them are attached with foam tape.

Mr. & Mrs. Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a good week so far! I have a wedding card to share with you today that features stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn!

I started by creating the background with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and patterned paper. Then, I started creating the sentiment. The "mr & mrs" letters were die cut with black shimmer cardstock and Louie's ABCs. I used the embossing ink pad to ink the bottom part of the letters, added gold embossing powder, and heat set it with my heat gun. I love how the letters look with the gold! The "congrats" is from the Big Scripty Words stamp and die set.

I glued the letters and sentiment to the background. The rings are from the Happy Wedding stamp set. To create the wedding band, I selectively stamped the ring without the diamond and used a fine tip black marker to draw the rest of the lines onto the band. I also added chunky glitter to the diamond to give it some extra sparkle! I finished the card by adding a few small hearts.

Have you ever added embossing to the bottom of your sentiment? It's such a fun way to add extra details to die cut letters!
