LF Inspiration Week: Build-An-Aquarium

Hi everyone! I hope that you all had a great weekend and are ready to tackle the week. :)

Today, the Lawn Fawn design team is sharing projects that feature the Build-An-Aquarium die. This set it perfect to make aquariums, but it was also be used with other critters to make a cage for a chameleon, mice, hamsters, etc.

I have two cards to share today. For my first card, I used the die to create a window card with acetate. I glued the aquarium frame to the front of the card and added a white heat embossed sentiment from the Happy Happy Happy: Family stamp set. When you open the card...

...it reveals an underwater scene full of fish! The background and sand were inked with Distress Oxide inks. The fish and seaweed were also ink blended with oxide inks and glued in place. I finished by adding a few bubbles and a white heat embossed sentiment from the Fintastic Friends stamp set.

My second card features patterned paper to create a die cut card. I used various scrap paper for the fish, seaweed, sand, and bubbles. And of course, I had to add googly eyes, haha!

The background paper was cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. The banner is from the Fancy Folded Banners and the sentiment is from the Keep on Swimming stamp set. How cute are those fish starring back at you, haha!

LF Inspiration Week: Scripty Birthday

Good morning! I hope that you're all having a great weekend so far! I'm so thankful that I was able to spend time with a good friend yesterday and catch up on life - it was just what I needed!

Today, the Lawn Fawn design team is sharing projects that feature the Scripty Birthday die! This die matches the other scripty dies, and it goes perfectly with the Scripty Happy die!

I started by cutting the words from gold sparkle cardstock. I also cut another layer with white cardstock to add behind the glitter for some extra dimension. To create the background, I used the Large Slimline and Small Slimline die to create a frame with white cardstock. I then used the small slimline die to cut a piece of patterned paper for the inside. I glued the glittery sentiment to the middle of the background.

I finished by adding some flowers along two of the corners of the card. I used the Fab Flowers stamp and die set stamped in Lawn Fawn inks to create the flowers and leaves. I attached them to the corners with foam tape.

This card turned out so pretty, especially with that glittery sentiment! Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Simply Celebrate Summer and Simply Summer Sentiments

Hello friends! I hope that you're enjoying your summer so far! 

It's time again for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! We will be sharing more products from the summer release, and today we are featuring the Simply Celebrate Summer and Simply Summer Sentiments sets!

I created two cards with similar designs to feature the succulents and ice cream cones in the Simply Celebrate Summer set. 

For my first card, I stamped the line of ice cream cones four times and colored each row with different shades of red, orange, green, and blue Copic markers. They all look so yummy!

I added patterned paper in the background from the Hello Sunshine Remix paper collection and die cut it with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. I attached the paper to a white card base. The sentiment is from the Simply Summer Sentiments set and stamped in a banner from the Bannertastic stamp set. The ice cream cones and banner are all attached with foam tape.

My second card features the same design, but showcases the succulents and the banner in a different place. I started by stamping the succulents four times and coloring them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating die to cut out the images, and then used my scissors to separate the succulents. I arranged them in a different order and attached them to a piece of Woodgrain cardstock with foam tape.

This time, I stamped the banner in the opposite direction, stamped the sentiment, die cut it out, and attached it with foam tape towards the bottom part of the card. Here's a closer look at this card. I think it's my favorite of the two designs!

I hope you like the cards! This set is so cute and can make some really cute cards with not a lot of supplies.
