Lawnscaping Challenge #62

Hello everyone! It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! The week's challenge is to create a card using paper piecing!

Paper piecing is one of my favorite techniques! I'm not very good at coloring on my cards, so I usually use paper piecing to add color! Here is the card that I created for this challenge:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" stamp set and die, "Home Sweet Home," and "Plus One" stamp sets. All of the images are cut from various patterned papers and I added some pink enamel dots with the leaves.

I hope that you'll be able to play along with us at Lawnscaping! The winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! That's a great price! Don't forget to check out the other cards from the Lawnscaping design team, too! :)

The Sky's the Limit

Hello everyone! I hope that everyone is having a great week! My work has been very quiet this week because the street to my office is blocked because of an Arts Festival! I like it because it's nice and quiet at work, and I get to walk around town to look at art during my lunch break! Win, win! :)

I have a card to share with you today!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Blue Skies" stamp set and die. To create this, I die cut the hot air balloons and banners from Lawn Fawn patterned paper. I added some die cut clouds and tied Lawn Trimmings around the basket. Attach everything to the card, stamp the sentiment, and you're done!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Happy Shower!

Good morning!  I think that it is only appropriate that I share this card with you now. The weather here has been nothing but overcast and rain for days! Yuck. A few days ago we had some flash flood which made things awful! I hope that things clear up so that we can still watch fireworks tomorrow!

I made this card for a bridal shower earlier this year. It would also make a nice encouragement card with a different sentiment. I like it. The clouds are from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" set, and the hearts, raindrops and sentiment is from the "Plus One" stamp set. I'm not sure where the black stickers are from (I've had them forever!).

Well, thanks for stopping by! I hope that the weather is nicer where you're at right now! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #61 - Sketch

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share this post with you today, because it is my first Lawnscaping post!! Ahh!! The Lawnscaping girls are so wonderful and I am so thankfully to be a part of their team!

Anyways, the current Lawnscaping Challenge is to create a card based on this sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch!

The new circle dies from Lawn Fawn would work great with this card and challenge, but if you don't have circle dies, you can trace around ribbon and washi tape spools! For this card, the patterned paper is from Pebbles and all of the images are from Lawn Fawn.

I also made this card for my in-laws anniversary, but I put the wrong year on the card! Opps! It will have to wait until next year. :)

Don't forget to check out the other projects from the design team members and to play along with Lawnscaping! The winner will receive a gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp!

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you have a great Monday! :)

Published Card!

Hi everyone! Whew, I have been busy lately! We just finished up the Vacation Bible School at my church and it was great! I helped with the 3-5 year olds and they are so adorable! VBS is always so busy, but it is one of my favorite times of the year.

Anyways, I wanted to share a card with you that was recently published in the July/August issue of Paper Crafts magazine!!

I am so excited because this is my first published card! Yay! It features a few stickers and patterned paper from Pebbles. To make the anchor, I hand drew the image on the back of the patterned paper, cut it out, punched a hole, and added some twine.

Don't forget to check our the current Paper Craft issue. I think it's a pretty sweet issue. :)

2013 Graduation Card

Hi everyone! I hope that you're having a good week so far! It's raining here today and it's suppose to rain again tomorrow. Yuck. Hopefully we'll have a sunny weekend because we're going to watch a minor league baseball game on Saturday!

I wanted to share a graduation card that I made for this year. I have a cousin who is graduating from high school this year, so this was sent to him! This card is also available in the Whimsipost Etsy shop so that you can send one to the graduates in your life, too!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Hats Off to You" and "Quinn's 123s" stamp sets. The "congratulations" is one of Paper Smooches wooden stamps. Paper Smooches sentiments are so whimsical and fun! I attached the numbers and the hat with foam adhesive and I added some Stickles to the numbers to make them shine!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the end of the work week! Woo! :)
