Season's Tweetings STAMPtember Exclusive

Hi everyone! Guess what - it's time for the Lawn Fawn exclusive STAMPtember set available at Simon Says Stamp!

I have two cards to share with you today that feature this new set. My first card showcases two bird families wishing each other a Merry Christmas!

I started by stamping everything onto white cardstock and coloring with Copic markers. To create the background, I used Mermaid, Peacock, and Blue Jay ink to lightly ink blend the sky. Then, I added Gina K glitter paste with the new Snowy Sky stencil. It gives a hint of falling slow without too many snowflakes! The sentiment is white heat embossed onto black cardstock and cut with the Everyday Sentiment Banners. I attached the background to a white card base with double sided tape, arranged the images and sentiments, and then attached everything to the background. Everything is glued in place, except for the birds and sentiments which are attached with foam tape.

I really like the sting of lights that is included in this set, so my next card features a bunch of birds singing on the lights!

I created the background the same way at the first card, and I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die to add the stitching detail around the edge. I stamped and die cut the lights and arranged them across the background. I stamped, colored, and die cut the other birds and attached them with foam tape. The smaller birds are from the Lawn Fawn and Hero Arts Big Thanks stamp set. There are a lot of smaller birds in other Lawn Fawn sets that would work well for this design, too. I finished by white heat embossing the sentiment, trimming it with my paper trimmer, and attaching them with foam tape. Here's a closer look at the second card:
