Get Whale Soon!

Hello there! I've had an exhausting day! After work today, I helped my husband with a school activity that he planned for the whole 8th grade class which included a dance party, pizza and cake, selling school merchandise, a funny whip cream eating contest and, my favorite part, pineapple bowling! My husband found a bowling set with pineapples for the pins and coconuts for the ball! It was great! Now, I'm beat!

I have a card to share with you this evening! My aunt recently fell and hurt her back. She is fine - just really sore. So I made her this card to help her feel a little bit better.

I recently received Lawn Fawn's "Critters In the Sea" stamp set and I've been playing around with it. It is so much fun! I tore brown paper to make sand along the bottom, and I paper pieced each of the critters and the seaweed. Then I added some bubbles! I hope it brightens her day!

Well, I hope you like it! Thanks for looking! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #34

Hello everyone! Wow, the last time that I posted was on Mother's Day - too long ago! I apologize. My husband and I have so many things going on right now. We're getting things organized for a Vacation Bible School, we have youth group activities, my husband is busy with the end of the school year, and we have so, so many decisions to make. We're overwhelmed!

But, I did find a little bit of time to make a card for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge - I can't miss it! The challenge was to make a card using heat or dry embossing. I used both! Here is my card:

I used a ruler and the end of a paint brush to emboss a border around the card (the top line is a little bit crooked - don't look!) I stamped the sheep, colored in his legs, face and tail, and then used some glue and white embossing power to heat emboss the fur. It's hard to see in the picture, but the embossing made a nice, raised texture that looks just like sheep's wool! It's so cute! Then I added some stickers to spell "hello." Thanks for looking!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day! I am so thankful for my mom and mother-in-law, so I made them a card! Here it is:

They really are the best! :) I am also entering this card into this weeks Lawnscaping Challege - clean and simple cards! Everything is paper pieced except for the grass and the chicken's beak.

Thanks for looking at my cards, and have a great Mother's Day!

Lawnscaping Challenge #33

Good evening everyone! It's finally the weekend! My husband and I have a lot planned for this weekend - lunch at Chick-fil-A (I can't wait!), a little bit of birthday shopping (yay!!), visiting some friends, tons and tons of laundry, and then Mother's Day Festivities at my in-laws house! It should be loads of fun. I hope you have a fun weekend planned!

Anyways, I have a card to share with you for this week's Lawnscaping Challenge. The challenge is to create a clean and simple card - my favorite type of card!

It's a little bit hard to see the picture since there is so much white space! But, I used my favorite Critters on the Farm stamp set (surprise, surprise!) and paper pieced everything except for the grass. Thanks for looking! Have a great weekend!

Gnome-body!

Good afternoon! I have a quick card to share with you today. I made this awhile ago, but I haven't posted it yet. So here it is:

The little gnome is so cute! :) I hope everyone is having a good weekend so far! My husband and I are going to our church this evening for a hymn sing concert by our praise team and lots of yummy desserts! I can't wait! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! :)

Lawnscaping Challenge #32

Good evening! I hope everyone's week is going well so far. We're one day closer to the weekend!

I have another card to share with you for the Lawnscaping Challenge this week.

One of my friends from church, Matthew, will be turning 2 in a few weeks, so I made him this card! He's going to enjoy it because he really likes farm animals!

I just now realized that the "Happy Birthday Matthew!" is a little bit crooked. Opps! It's still cute! I am also entered this card to the Young Crafters Unite challenge! This months challenge is to made a card without coloring! This farm scene is completely paper pieced and stamped! It took a little bit of time, but it was fun to make. The sun is suppose to be a flower, but I added a button and a bow so that you can't see it's a flower!

Thanks again for looking! Enjoy the rest of your week!

Udderly Adorable!

I can't believe I am going to say this, but today in Pennsylvania, it snowed! Yes, snow! There wasn't any accumulation in my area and my husband didn't have a delay or the day off from school, but there was definitely snow. I had to dig out my boots and gloves today. Brr!

Oh a much brighter note, I have a card to share with you today! It fits this weeks Lawnscaping Challenge, Stamp a Scene!

I recently received Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm" set, and I told you there would be more cards featuring that set, so here it is:

I used mirror image stamping for the girl cow and gave her a hand drawn bow. The grass comes from the "Gnome Sweet Gnome" set and the font is "Smitty's ABC's." I think it's cute! My husband came up with the punny quote on the card. :)

Thanks for stopping by! Check out the other great cards in the challenge!
