LF Inspiration Week: Pool Party

I hope you're enjoying the Lawn Fawn sneak peeks this week. Today, we're sharing an adorable set that is perfect for summer, called Pool Party!

There are so many fun ways to use this card. For my first card, I paired the critters and their pool tubes with the Stitched Pond frame to create a swimming pool shaker card.

I started by cutting a piece of blue sparkle cardstock for the base, and then cut four Stitched Pond Frames for the swimming pool. Three of the frames are glued together to create the wall for the pool shaker and glued to the blue sparkle pool. I poured in some teal sequins and accents into the pool, then, glued a stitched pond cut from acetate and glued the final frame on top to create the edge of the pool. It looks so relaxing for those critters!

To finish the card, I glued the pool to a piece of Flower Market paper that was cut with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle. I glued the critters in place on their floaty tubes, and added a white heat embossed sentiment.

I had a lot of fun creating the shaker pool card, but I also wanted to create a clean and simple card with the floating kitty. I lightly ink blended blue into the center of a white card base and stamped a few waves with Mermaid ink. I die cut the Scripty Hello in blue sparkle cardstock, glued it in place, and stamped the rest of the sentiment below it in black ink. I finished the card by attaching the cat and speech bubble with foam tape.
