LF Inspiration Week: Swish N' Pop

 Hi friends! I'm back again today with more inspiration from the new Lawn Fawn release! Today, we are sharing projects that use the new interactive die - the Swish N' Pop Pull Tab! Such a fun name and such a fun and easy die.

Make sure to check out the video on the Lawn Fawn YouTube channel to see how to assemble the Swish N' Pop die. I really like how easy it is to reposition the interactive elements to make sure it's in the right place for the card.

For this card, I started by die cutting the elements that I need to create the scene. The background uses the Puffy Cloud Backdrop die and Spiffy Speckles patterned paper. I wanted the rainbow to have the perfect arc for my design, so I used the Shadow Box Rainbow Add-On die and created the rainbow with different colors of cardstock - Guava, Fake Tan, Sunflower, Cilantro, and Peacock. I used the clouds from the Meadow Backdrop: Portrait die and hearts from the Hearts die and Ballet Slipper cardstock.

For the sentiment, I used the Big Scripty Words set and white heat embossed the sentiment onto Peacock cardstock. I like how the white sentiment pops on that colored cardstock! I also used the Long Distance Hugs stamp set to white emboss the "sending" onto black cardstock.

Once the elements for the card were created, I started to work on the interactive part. I used a piece of white cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" and die cut the holes for the swish n' pop. I assembled the interactive elements as per the directions on the Lawn Fawn video. Once the die was assembled, I took the cloudy backdrop, cut between the clouds and attached the top part with double sided tape and the bottom part with foam tape. I wanted to make sure that there was plenty of room for the rainbow to move. 

I glued the rainbow to the acetate slider piece and adjusted it until it was at the perfect angle to hide behind the clouds. It's a good idea to attached the rainbow with liquid glue so that you can adjust if you need to. Once the rainbow was in the perfect spot, I trimmed the extra acetate and extra cardstock on the pull tab. I arranged the clouds and hearts around the rainbow and attached them with glue. Then, I used foam tape to attached the sentiment below the rainbow.

This turned out so cute and it's so much fun to see it in action! Here's a video that my daughter helped me create:

LF Inspiration Week: Bubbles of Joy

Good morning, everyone! I hope that your week is going well. It's about to get better because it's the countdown to the new Lawn Fawn release! All of the new products will be available on Thursday, February 25th.

In the meantime, the design team will be sharing inspiration with the new products. Today, we are featuring the Bubbles of Joy stamp set. 

These little mice are having fun letting go of their troubles by blowing bubbles! Aren't they so cute?! They coordinate with the other mice sets, such as the Dandy Day and Crazy Antics stamp sets.

To create this card, I started by stamping the mice and bubbles onto white cardstock, coloring them with Copic markers, and cutting them out with the coordinating die cuts. I also stamped the sentiments into the speech bubbles from the A Birdie Told Me stamp set.

Once everything was cut out, I started working on the background. I used the Small Slimline die to cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock. Using the new Slimline Hillside Stencils and Slimline Cloudy Stencils with Freshly Cut Grass and Mermaid ink respectively, I ink blended the scene. Then, I used the Scalloped Slimline with Hearts: Portrait to cut a piece of the new Perfectly Plaid Remix patterned paper and layered it behind the ink blended scene. I attached the background to a white card base and started to arrange the images onto the scene.

After arranging and rearranging, I finally found a layout that I was happy with, so I began to attach the images with foam tape and liquid glue. I also thought it looked cute to overlap the bubbles on the speech bubbles. Here's a closer look at part of the scene:

XOXO Valentine's Day Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! I hope that you're all doing well! Things have been quiet here lately, but I've been busy creating lots of projects that I'll be able to share with you all next week. I can't wait!

In the mean time, I have a Valentine's Day card to share that uses lots of products from Lawn Fawn! This card features the Finley's ABCs die set - my favorite alphabet die!

I started by creating the x and o's for the background by die cutting the holographic cardstock. It's so cool with all of the rainbow reflections in the background! Once the letters were die cut, I arranged them onto the background panel. I used the Dotted Rectangle Stackables and Spiffy Speckles patterned paper, but this could also be created with the Stitched Rectangle Stackables die. I also added a Scalloped Rectangle die cut from Ballet Slipper behind the patterned paper panel, and then attached everything to a white card base.

For the sentiment, I white heat embossed the "happy" from the Happy Happy Happy stamp set onto Guava cardstock and die cut it with the coordinating die. The rest of the sentiment is from the Happy Happy Add-On stamp set and is white heat embossed onto black cardstock. I used my paper trimmer to trim the "valentine's day" sentiment and attached it with foam tape.

 Have you created any Valentine's Day cards this year? Not only is this weekend Valentine's Day, but it's also my daughter's birthday! And my son won't let me forget that NASCAR starts this weekend, too, haha!
