LF Inspiration Week: Ladybug and Leaf Die

 Hi there! I hope you have enjoyed all of the inspiration from this week. I have another card to share that features the new Ladybug and Leaf die from Lawn Fawn! This card was created with mostly die cuts and a variety of patterned paper!

I started by die cutting six solid leaves and outlines in white cardstock. I attached the white outlines with liquid glue. Then, I used a bunch of patterned paper scraps to die cut leaves and inlaid them in the outlines. It was fun to arranged the patterns on each of the leaves! After the leaves were finished, I added Spiffy Speckles patterned paper to a white cardstock, arranged the leaves on the card, and trimmed off the edges of the leaves.

Once the background was finished, I started working on the sentiment. I used Riley's ABCs to white heat emboss the "we" and "in you" sentiments onto black cardstock, and then cut them out with my scissors. Then, I used the Finley's ABCs die to cut the letters for "be leaf" from black cardstock. I cut three of each letter and glued them together to add extra dimension to the letters. I arranged the sentiment on the card and attached them with foam tape and liquid glue. I also created two ladybugs with white, black, and pink stripped cardstock and attached them with foam tape.

This card was so fun to create and the punny sentiment is perfect to send as an encouraging card to a friend.

LF Inspiration Week: Outside In Stitched Sun and Sunburst Backdrop Die

 I'm sending double the hugs today with two cards that feature products from the new Lawn Fawn release!

My first card uses the Outside In Stitched Sun die, along with the smiley face from the Stitched Sun Frame. I cut the sun from Sunflower cardstock and lightly inked the edges of the sun. I added a cloud from the Stitched Cloud Frames die, lightly inked the edges with Mermaid ink, and added a smiley face from Black Licorice cardstock. 

I created the background by ink blended with Mermaid ink and the Cloudy stencil. I attached the sun and cloud with foam tape, and added a few hearts cut from pink shimmer cardstock. The shimmer is so pretty in person! The sentiment is from the Long Distance Hugs stamp set and is white heat embossed on black and guava cardstock. I finished by adding rosy cheeks on the sun and clouds with a light pink Copic marker, and added details with a white gel pen.

My second card showcases the Sunburst Backdrop die, along with the Scripty Bubbles Sentiment. 

I started by die cutting the background with the Sunburst die from Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blending with distress oxide inks. After ink blending the background, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and attached it to a white card base. I stamped, colored, and die cut the "hugs" sentiment, attached it with foam tape, and added glossy accents to the sentiment. I white heat embossed the "sending" sentiment, cut it out, and also attached it with foam tape. Then, I finished the card by adding a few hearts from the Special Delivery Box Add-On stamp set.

LF Inspiration Week: Magic Messages

Hi everyone! I have a card to share this morning that uses new products from Lawn Fawn! 

The background is created with the Sunflower cardstock and the new Sunburst Backdrop. I lightly ink blended the edges of the cardstock and the circle in the middle to give it some more dimension. Then, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die to die cut the backdrop, but slightly higher so that the sun looked higher in the sky. I stamped the sentiment from the Magic Messages set into the circle. The background is attached with double sided tape, and the circle is attached with foam tape.

After the sunny background was created, I started working on the rest of the card. I added the grass and hillside by die cutting Noble Fir and Cilantro cardstock with the Simple Grassy Hillsides and Simple Stitched Hillsides Border, respectively. The grass was attached with double sided tape.

Next, I stamped the fox, butterflies, grass, and clouds from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set. The images are all colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I also added the fox from the new Butterfly Kisses Flip-Flop stamp set. This mini set is the mirror image of the fox from Butterfly Kisses! Doesn't it look like the foxes are going to give each other a hug!? I think they're so cute!
