Hay There Mini Slimline Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi friends! I hope you all had a great week. We enjoyed some beautiful 50 degree weather here this week, but it's now back to snowing, boo! We were spoiled with that nice weather and we can't wait for spring to get here! My kids are also excited about a new playground that is being built at the park near our house, so the warmer weather can't get here soon enough!

I have a cute farm scene to share today! Have you tried making a mini slimline card yet? It might be my new favorite card size! Sometimes I have a hard time with the slimline card - there's so much space! But this still have a slimline feel with a smaller area to work with.

The slimline card measures 3 1/2" x 6", so I started with a 7" x 6" white card stock and folded it in half to create the base. I used the Hillside Stencils and distress oxide inks to ink blend the grassy hills and sky. I spritzed the card with a little bit of water for some extra details. 

Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut the critters and barn from the Hay There stamp set, trees from the Trees Before 'N Afters set, and the hay bale from the Critters on the Farm stamp set. I had to include the hay bale to go along with that sentiment!

The sentiment was created by white heat embossing onto black cardstock and trimmed with scissors. Once I had everything arranged on the card, I attached the images with foam tape or liquid glue. I finished by adding a few details on the images with a white gel pen.
