Holly Jolly Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope that you will enjoy a day with family and friends today! Don't eat too many Christmas cookies! :)

Today's Christmas card wishes you a holly, jolly Christmas!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Winter Gifts," "Milo's ABCs," "Riley's ABCs," and "Sweet Christmas" stamp sets. I used different alphabet stamps to create this custom sentiment! And the holly leaves are coated with some glittery stickles to give it some sparkle! :)

Thanks for stopping by, and don't forget the real reason for the season today. Happy Birthday, Jesus! :)

"So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and  placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn." - Matthew 2:4-7

Christmas Cookies! Mmm!

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! Do you have any Christmas eve traditions with your family? Tonight we will go to our Christmas Eve service at church and then come home to drink hot chocolate and read Christmas stories around the fireplace. I can't wait!

I have a "sweet" Christmas card to share with you today:

This card is a little bit smaller than usual and it features Lawn Fawn's "Cozy Christmas," "Sweet Christmas," and "Into the Woods" stamp sets. The milk and cookies are colored with colored pencils and attached with foam tape. They're so cute!

Enjoy your Christmas eve! Be safe if you're traveling! :)

No Place Like Home

Good morning everyone! Only two more days until Christmas! It's almost here! :)

Today's Christmas card features a custom sentiment made from a variety of stamps:

To make the sentiment, I used Lawn Fawn's "Milo's ABCs," "Winter Gifts," and "Gnome Sweet Gnome." I think it's so much fun to combine different stamp sets to make custom sentiments! The rest of the card features "Home Sweet Home" and "Making Frosty Friends." And of course I used stickles to decorate the houses, snowbank, and hearts! :)

Only two more Christmas cards left this year! Come back again tomorrow to see the next card!

Peace and Joy

Hello again! I am to share another Christmas card with you today!

I sewed a border on this card (just like yesterday's Christmas card) but you can see this one since it's on darker paper! Yay! This card feature's Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" and "Quinn's 123s" stamp sets, as well as Quinns ABCs dies. Having the die cuts made this card so quick to make! And this would be so easy to make with different sentiments! It's also hard to tell from the picture, but the yellow background is glitter paper! It's so much fun to use!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a nice weekend! :)

12 Days of Christmas

Hello everyone! I have another Christmas card to share with you! :)

This colorful card features Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's 123s" and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets. I stamped and cut out a bunch of different numbers, decorated them with stickles, and attached them to patterned paper. Then I stamped the sentiment below the numbers. To attach the patterned paper to the card base, I sewed a border (which you can't see at all in the picture!). Next time I will use a darker thread!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day! :)

Uderly Sweet Christmas

Good morning everyone! Only one week left until Christmas? Are you ready? I was really prepared this year and I already have all of the gifts purchased and wrapped! Whew! :)

I have another Christmas card to share with you today - and yes, it's an animal pun! :)

Have you ever eaten at a Chick-Fil-A? It is one of my favorite places to eat! Their mascot is a cow who encourages you to eat chicken and they can never spell correctly, so that is where I got the idea for this card!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm," "Hats Off to You," "Sweet Christmas," and "Trim the Tree" stamp sets. I hand drew the "uderly" for the sentiment and I used the "Trim the Tree" dies to cut out the presents. The presents were coated with colorful stickles to give them some sparkle!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Have a Cozy Christmas Tree!

Good morning! Only 8 days left until Christmas! Yay! :)

I have two Christmas cards to share with you today! These cards are based on the card that I shared yesterday for the current Lawnscaping Challenge, but this time I used different images!

The first card features Lawn Fawn's "Sweet Christmas," and "Cozy Christmas" stamp sets. I found a small star stamp from Lawn Fawn that fits perfectly into the stars from the stitched journaling card die, but I can't remember which set it is from! I also made each of the trees from different patterned paper and added stickles to the stars!

For this second card, I used Lawn Fawn's "Cozy Christmas" stamp set. Again, I used different patterned papers and embellished each stocking with different stickle colors! They are each attached with foam tape to give it some dimension!

Do you ever use the same layout to make different cards? Using the same or similar layout can help you make cards even faster (which is great for making Christmas cards!).

Well, thanks for stopping by! Come back again tomorrow for another Christmas card! :)

Lawnscaping #72 - Color Inspiration

Hello everyone! It's time again for a new Lawnscaping Challenge! Yay!! This challenge is perfect for the month of December (at least in Pennsylvania where we always have snow!). The challenge is to create a card based on these inspiration colors:

Here is the card that I created based on the inspiration colors:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Making Frosty Friends" and "Cozy Christmas" stamp sets, as well as silver Lawn Trimmings. I used a ton of different patterned papers and I also decorated the hats, gloves, and scarves with some blue and white stickles! This card was perfect to use with patterned paper scraps! :)

This week's challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn and the winner will receive a free stamp set! That is definitely a prize worth playing for!

Have fun with the challenge and I can't wait to see what you create! Thanks for stopping by! :)

"We wish..."

Hello again! Here it is - the last sheep card! I had a lot of fun thinking of sheep puns to use for Christmas cards this year and I hope whoever receives these cards enjoys the puns as much as I do! :)

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm," "Riley's ABCs," and "Making Frosty Friends." I'm not sure why I didn't add holly to this card, but I still think it's cute! :)

Thanks for stopping by! What did you think of the sheep card set? :)

Christmas Sheep Love!

Welcome back for another Christmas card! I promised there would be more sheep cards (are you sick of them yet??), so here it is!

I can't pick which sheep card is my favorite, but this is definitely one of them! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm," "Riley's ABCs," "Winter Gifts," "Happily Ever After," and "Making Frosty Friends." I decided to add pink to the "girl" sheep's nose so that you know it's a girl! I also used a technique called mirror stamping to make the sheep face the other way.

There is only one sheep card left! Check back tomorrow to see the last card in the sheep series!

Fleece Navidad!

Happy Wednesday everyone! If you enjoyed the sheep card from yesterday, then you'll enjoy this card as well! Here is the second sheep card in the set:

Hehe! Fleece Navidad makes me laugh every time! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm," "Riley's ABCs," "Winter Gifts" and "Making Frosty Friends" (the heart) stamp sets. The sheep is colored with a grey colored pencil and the holly leaves are colored with markers. I also attached the sheep with foam tape to give it some dimension on the card!

Do you ever make punny Christmas cards or do you stick with traditional cards? If you like this card set, then come back again tomorrow for another sheep card (there are two more in the series!!). :)

Christmas Sheep!

Hello again! I am back to share another Christmas card with you today! This card is one of my favorites this year! I think animal puns are so much fun to make into cards, so this Christmas I made sheep cards! :)

Isn't he just so cute with his hat and scarf?! This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Farm," "Hats Off to You," "Making Frosty Friends," "Winter Gifts," and "Riley's ABCs" stamp sets. To make the sheep, I paper pieced a bunch of different layers. First I cut out the body of the sheep, then I added the scarf, then I stamped and cut out just the sheep head, and then added a hat! There is a ton of dimension to the sheep (it's hard to see in the picture).

Come back tomorrow for another Christmas sheep card! :)

13 Days of Christmas Cards!

Hello everyone! I hope that you are getting things all ready for Christmas and enjoying the holiday season! I can't believe that Christmas is almost here! This year seemed to go by so fast!

Last year, I did a little series and shared one card each day in December leading up to Christmas for a total of 25 cards! I was hoping to do that again this year, but unfortunately I ran out of time. Opps! Instead, I will share with you the few cards that I did get to make this year. :)

Here is one of the first cards that I made this year:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Trim the Tree," (stamp and coordinating dies) and "Riley's ABCs." Everything is paper pieced on this card, and having the coordinating dies makes that so easy! I added stickles to the star and tree base, and I also added glossy accents to the lights to make them shine!

Thanks for stopping by! And stop back tomorrow to see the next Christmas card! :)

Lawnscaping #71 - Tags or Treat Bags

Hello everyone! It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! Monday's are so much better when there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge to look forward to! :)

This week's challenge is to create a project using tags or treat bags.

www.lawnscaping.blogspot.com

Since it is getting closer to Christmas, I decided to make some Christmas tags! Here are the tags that I created:

These tags feature a ton of Lawn Fawn products! The patterned paper is from the "Peace Joy Love" petite paper pack, the sequins are from the "Peace Joy Love Mixed Sequins Pack" and I also used the silver sparkle Lawn Trimmings! I used the "Tag, You're It" die (one of my favorites!) and I used a ton of Christmas stamp sets - "Cozy Christmas," "Making Frosty Friends," "Milo's ABCs," "Quinn's 123s," and "Winter Gifts." Plus, I added stickles to some of the images to give it some sparkle (like the stockings, hearts, and numbers).

More exciting news...

Hi everyone! I'm so glad that it's finally Friday! This week has felt so busy and I'm glad that the weekend is almost here! :)

I have a really fun project to share with you today! In my last post I shared that my husband and I recently purchased a house, but we also have more exciting news to share. A few months ago my husband and I hosted a little party for our families to let them know that we are expecting a baby!! We are super excited! Here is the cake that I made for the party:

I used Lawn Fawn's "Plus One" stamp set and "Quinn's ABCs" die to make the banner for the top of the cake. The letters are attached to a thin thread and tied to toothpicks before they were put in the cake. And the storks are both glued to a toothpick!

I used food coloring to color the inside of a white cake mix so that when we cut the cake it revealed the gender of the baby! And when we cut the cake, it revealed that....

... we are having a girl!! She is due December 5th (but I'm praying that she comes earlier!). We thank God everyday for our little girl that we're going to meet soon! I can't wait for her to get here! :)

I hope that you enjoyed the cake decorations! They were so much fun to make and I'm so excited to share our big news with you! I'll let you know when she gets here! Have a great weekend!

Lawnscaping #70 - Polka Dots!

Hello everyone! I hope that you had a good weekend! My husband and I enjoyed a visit from my family, ate a delicious Thanksgiving dinner (yes, a little bit early, but still so good!), and showed our families the house that we recently purchased! We are super excited and we can't wait to move in! I'm sure there will be a lot of before and after pictures! :)

Since today is the second Monday of the month, that means there is a new Lawnscaping Challenge!! Yay!

The challenge is to create a project with polka dots. I decided to pull out as much polka dotted paper that I could find, and I created this:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Year Two" and "Good Fortune" stamp sets. This was pretty easy to create, but it took a little bit of time with all of those presents! I also wish I would have lined the presents a little bit straighter, but I still like it. I finished off the card by adding some white pearl accents to some of the gifts!

Don't forget to play along because the winner of this week's challenge will receive a free stamp set by Lawn Fawn!! Thanks for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create! :)

Lawnscaping #69 - Sentiment

Hello everyone! Yep, it's that time again - another Lawnscaping Challenge! Yay! :) The challenge is to create a project where the sentiment really stands out!

Here is the card that I created for this challenge:

I can't take credit for this idea though! When I was looking for inspiration for the last challenge, I found this super cute Christmas decoration that I knew would be perfect for this challenge. You can see the image here!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Riley's ABCs" (which I think is my new favorite alpha stamp set!) and "Trim the Tree" stamp sets. I stamped a smaller star inside the star on the tree and added some stickles. Since I didn't have a stamp that would work inside of the tree base, I just colored a square with a pink colored pencil and then added stickles.

This challenge is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and the winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to their store! Who doesn't like shopping!? :)

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for all of your sweet comments! They always brighten my day! :)

Happy Bee Day!

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope that you're enjoying your Saturday! I had to work this morning, but since there was a home football game it was nice and quiet. And the rest of my Saturday will be spent doing various projects around the house!

I have a quick card to share with you that I made awhile ago for a friend's birthday!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in Costume," "Gnome Sweet Gnome," and "Milo's ABCs" stamp sets. I had to mirror stamp the one bee to make him face the bear bee. I finished the card off by adding black stickles to bee stripes!

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a nice weekend! :)

Lawnscaping #68 - Pinterest Inspired!

Hi everyone! It's that time again - another Lawnscaping Challenge! Yay! We have a super fun challenge for you this week - to create a card inspired by an image on Pinterest!

You can still play along even if you don't have a Pinterest account. Just find an image somewhere else online and use that as the inspiration for your project! Make sure to include the image on your blog so that we can see where you got your inspiration from!

I was a little bit intimidated by this challenge at first. There are so many pictures to choose from and I had a hard time deciding which one to use! I decided to focus on a Christmas card and I eventually found this photo to use as my inspiration:

I really liked the blue and silver for Christmas and especially how the photo made the ornaments sparkle, so I used that as my inspiration to create this Christmas card:

I used a few different blue inks, as well as silver ink, to stamp all of the snowflakes. The images are from Lawn Fawn's "Making Frosty Friends" and "Winter Gifts" stamp sets. I also added some stickles and glossy accents to the snowflakes to give the card a sparkley look. Here is a close up of the snowflakes:

I hope that you'll get a chance to play along with the challenge this week! The winner of this challenge will receive a stamp set from Lawn Fawn! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! I can't wait to see what you create for the challenge! :)

Wanna Sketch No. 9

Hello! Ah, I'm so glad it's the weekend! Does anyone else get tomorrow off for Columbus day? Since I work at a bank, we get every little holiday off, so I'm looking forward to my extra day off tomorrow! :)

I have a card to share with you for the current Wanna Sketch No. 9 Challenge! The challenge is to create a card based on this sketch:

DDWS9

Here is the card that I created for this sketch:

This card would be perfect for Valentine's Day, but I made it as an anniversary card. This card features Paper Smooches "Love Die," and Lawn Fawn's "Tag, You're It" die, "Stitched Journaling Card" dies, and silver sparkle Lawn Trimming. The little hearts also have some stickles added to give them some sparkle!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend! I think I am going to do some shopping and baking on my day off tomorrow. Maybe I'll even do some crafting! :)

CAS-ual Fridays #116

Hello everyone! I am so excited because I was able to find some time this week to play along with the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge! The challenge is to use sequins and chevrons in your project.

I decided to use the sequins and chevrons to make this simple anniversary card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "A Birdie Told Me," "Happy Everything," and "Happily Ever After" stamp sets, as well as Lawn Fawn's mixed sequins. The speech bubbles are both cut from patterned paper and attached with foam tape for a little bit of dimension. The sentiment is stamped in "Wet Cement" by Hero Arts Shadow Inks.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Lawnscaping #67 - Patterned Paper

Happy Monday!! I hope that everyone had a nice relaxing weekend! We were able to spend some time visiting my parents, making homemade spaghetti sauce (mmm!) and listening to/watching the Pirates beat the Cardinals!! It was a good weekend! :)

It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! Woohoo! The current challenge is to create a project with patterned paper!

I decided to use some of the cute patterned paper from the "Into the Woods" petite paper pack to create this card:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Into the Woods" and "Critters in the Forest" stamp sets, "Stitched Journaling Card" die, black alphabet stickers, and yellow washi tape. I really like how this card turned out - so cute! :)

I can't wait to see what your create for this challenge! You have until October 16th to play along, and the winner will receive a gift certificate to Simon Says Stamp! Get crafting

Washi Love

Happy weekend, everyone! I hope that you're having a good weekend so far! I think that I am coming down with a cold, so I am hoping that will go away soon! It would be a much better weekend without the cold, and without work this morning, but it will still be a good one! :)

I have a card to share with you for the current Moxie Fab Challenge - the stickers and tape challenge!

I made a card similar to this one before (you can see that card here), but I recently bought some new washi tape colors so I decided to make another one! I like how easy it is to make a card with washi tape, especially a colorful one! The washi tapes are from various companies (Recollections and some brand that I found at Target). The letters and hearts are from Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" stamp and die and "Trim the Tree" respectively. I'm not sure which set the small hearts are from, but it is definitely from a Lawn Fawn set. :)

Well, thanks for stopping by! I need to go finish laundry now! :)

Sunday, September 22, 2013

Hello Friend!

Hi everyone! I hope that you had a good weekend! We had a very productive weekend here. Our new washer and dryer were finally delivered so we did some laundry, we reorganized a little bit in our basement, and we set up some furniture in our extra bedroom. Plus, we spent a bunch of time with family, so it was a great weekend. :)

I have a fun card to share with you this evening! I made this card over the weekend for one of the current Moxie Fab World challenges- incorporating ready-made embellishments!

This card features products from the Pebbles "Lakeside" collection. I covered the card base with a super cute patterned paper (it's so colorful!) and attached one of the journaling cards. I took the flower chipboard, tied some white ribbon around it, and attached it to the journaling card. The four paper strips are extra pieces of patterned paper from the top of the 6x6 paper pads, and they are attached with staples!

If you get a chance, you should definitely play along with this challenge! Using ready-made embellishments make for some really quick cards! :)

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you have a great week!

Lawnscaping #66 - Monochromatic

Happy Monday, everyone! I hope that you had a great weekend! It's time again for the next Lawnscaping Challenge!

This week's challenge is to create a card based on only one color. I decided to pick the color orange for my card. Here it is:

The bunny in the pumpkin from the "Critters in Costume" stamp set is adorable, so he had to be the star of this card. I also added the pumpkins and sentiment from the "So Thankful" set, as well as the speech bubble from "A Birdie Told Me." The sequins are from Lawn Fawn's Peace Joy Love mixed sequins set. The sequins are such a fun little accent to add to cards! :)

The winner of this week's challenge will win a stamp set of their choice from Lawn Fawn, so don't forget to play along! I can't wait to see what you create with this challenge! :)

I hope that you have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

10 Minute Craft Dash #25

Hi there! I'm so glad that it is Wednesday because it means that the weekend is almost here! Woo! :)

I have a card to share with you for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash! I have not had much time to play along with challenges lately, but I was able to find some time this week!

The challenge this week is to create a card using the provided colors and to create the card in under 10 minutes! That is a challenge!

When I saw the inspiration colors, I immediately thought of sunflowers! (Can you tell that I like that new Lawn Fawn stamp set?!) :)

Here is the card that I created and it took 8 minutes 20 seconds. This card features Lawn Fawn's "Our Friendship Grows," and "Woodgrain Backdrops" (you can tell that I tried to make this quickly- I messed up the woodgrain stamp!). The hearts are from the "Stitched Journaling Card" dies and I also used the silver sparkle twine.

If you have some time, you should definitely play along with the current 10 Minute Craft Dash! There are still a few days to play along! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Kelly's Birthday Blog Hop!!

Hi everyone! Today is a special day because it's Kelly Marie's birthday! Happy Birthday!! The Lawn Fawn girls decided to organize and surprise her with a birthday party blog hop! You should have arrived here from Paulina's blog! If you get lost at any point you can start at the beginning on Tiffany's blog!

Since Kelly Marie is a fan of sunflowers, and since Lawn Fawn just released an adorable sunflower set and die, I decided to send her some flowers on her birthday!

This card features a few of the new Lawn Fawn products! The patterned paper is from the "Peace Joy Love" petite paper pack (who says it just has to be for Christmas!). The flowers, heart, and pot is from the "Our Friendship Grows" stamp set and the sentiment is "Riley's ABCs." I also added some silver sparkle twine around the flower stems and some stickles to the heart and center of the flowers.

Well, I hope that everyone, especially Kelly Marie, enjoyed our little blog hop! The next stop is the talented Vicki Papaioannou! :)
