LF Inspiration Week: Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On

Hi friends! I have a fun, interactive card to share today for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week!

My card today features the Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On die to create an interactive card that is perfect for Christmas.

I used the Magic Iris die and fog cardstock to create the interactive element.  The snow globe add-on was also cut with the fog cardstock and attached to the top layer. I added the shine detail with white cardstock and some snowflakes cut from the Holographic cardstock (it's soooo pretty!).

I used the woodgrain cardstock and gold metallic cardstock to add the base and gold details to the snow globe. I like how the gold looked with everything, so I also used it for the interactive tab. After the snow globe was created, I stamped the sentiment from the Shutter Card Holiday Sayings stamp set.

Next, I started working on the inside scene. I stamped the snowman from the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set and colored it with Copic markers. I used a sticky note to create a mask for the scene by die cutting the sticky note with the coordinating die, and then placed the mask over the scene so that I could ink blend the sky. Before removing the mask, I also used white paint to splatter some snow in the sky. It turned out so pretty!

After the scene was completed and dried, I cut it out into a circle and started assembling the card. I added a piece of Let It Shine patterned paper to a white card base, roughly lined up the snow globe so that I knew where to glue the scene, and then attached the interactive snow globe on top with foam tape. This is such a fun card and will definitely make someone smile this Christmas!
