LF Inspiration Week: Peas On Earth

Good morning! I hope that you're having a great week so far! It's about to get better because the November Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week starts today! Yay! Today, the design team is sharing projects that feature the Peas On Earth stamp set and coordinating die.

How cute are those little peas?! I stamped and colored a few of the peas and added them to a pea pod from the Be Hap-Pea stamp set. I love that the pea pod can be die cut with a slit along the edge so that the peas can slide inside!

The sentiments are white heat embossed onto black cardstock, and I also added a few holographic snowflakes to the background from the Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On die. The peas look so cozy with their winter hats!

I also created a second card with the singing peas!

I started by stamping, coloring with Copics, and die cutting the images for this card. The planets and stars are from the Out Of This World stamp set. Once the images were colored and die cut, I started working on the background. I used Distress Oxide inks to create a galaxy sky, spritzed it with a little bit of water, and also flicked some liquid stardust for some extra sparkle.

Once the background dried, I die cut it with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. I used the circle spacer from the Reveal Wheel die to cut two circles. I put both of the circles onto a metal brad. The bottom circle is attached to the background with foam tape, and the peas are attached to the top circle so that they can move. To attach the peas to the circle, I used a small strip of acetate behind the peas and glued it to the circle. That makes sure that the peas don't fall off the earth! I attached the spinner to the background and then glued the earth to the top of the metal brad. It's so fun to spin the peas!

Once the spinner was attached, I added the other planets and stars to the background. I white heat embossed the first part of the sentiment and attached it with foam tape. The rest of the sentiment was stamped into a Bannertastic banner, die cut, and attached with foam tape.

Here's a short video of the spinner card in action:

Life's A Picnic With You Card with Lawn Fawn

Hi everyone! Are you enjoying the fall weather in your area? The leaves are beautiful in Pennsylvania this year and my kids and I have enjoyed taking walks through our local park and admiring the beauty around us. It's so pretty but, the weather is starting to get colder and it's a reminder that it's will be winter soon. I'm not looking forward to that!

Anyways, I have a card to share with you today that was published in the fall issue of the Scrapbook and Cards Today Magazine. I used a bunch of Lawn Fawn products to create this fall picnic scene.

I started by stamping a bunch of images from the Crazy AnticsForest Feast, and Happy Harvest stamp sets onto white cardstock and coloring them with Copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut out the images, and set them aside while I worked on the background. The cornstalks are stamped in Cilantro and Artichoke inks.

Next, I started working on the background. I used a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to ink the sky with Worn LipstickRipe Persimmon, and Spiced Marmalade distress oxide inks. I spritzed it with a little bit of water to add some extra detail to the sky. Then, I used the Stitched Hillside Backdrop die to cut the hillsides, masked the layers with a post-it note, and ink blended the hills. For the dirt I used Ground Espresso and Gathered Twigs distress oxide inks, and for the grass I used Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron. Before attaching the sky and hillsides to a white card base, I added a Little Picket Fence Border cut from white cardstock.

I attached the sky and the hillsides to a white card base. Then, I arranged the images onto the scene and attached them with liquid glue or foam tape. I white heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and cut it out with an Everyday Sentiment Banner. I finished by attaching the sentiment with foam tape. Here's another look at the card:

The little mice sharing a block of cheese are so cute! I hope this has inspired you to create a fall card before the weather starts to get too cold! :)

Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you have a great day!
