Sending Love (and Flowers) with Sunny Studio Stamps

Good morning! I hope that your week is going well! I have a card to share with you this morning that is on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog! :)

This card features one of their new sets, Sweet Script, which is perfect to help create custom sentiments!

I paired the new script set with the Backyard Bugs stamp set and die for this card, I used a variety of patterned papers for the flowers, stems, flower pots, and background. Here is a close up on the flowers:

I also wanted to make you aware of the Lasting Hearts Card Drive that is collecting cards until February 29th. You can find more information about it on Jennifer McGuire's blog. This card drive is very dear to my heart because my husband and I lost our first child due to a miscarriage about 4 years ago. It was an extremely difficult time that God was able to bring us through, and so I know how meaningful these books and cards will be to those women who receive them. I encourage you all to donate cards to this great cause!

Cheesy Pizza Card

Hi everyone! Did anyone get impacted by the snow storm this weekend? We live in central PA, so it wasn't too bad for us, but we still got a few inches. Nearby towns received about 2 feet of snow, and I know that even further south received a lot more! My daughter (she's two) had a blast playing in the snow over the weekend!

Anyways, I have a card to share with you that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Pizza My Heart" stamp and die, "A Birdie Told Me" stamp and die, Wildrose ink, and yellow Lawn Trimmings. This pizza set cracks me up! After I made this card, I realized I should have made the sentiment say, "This may sound cheesy, but you have a pizza my heart!" Next time!

The images are colored with Prismacolor pencils. My favorite part of this stamp set is the smiley faces for the pizza! And if the piece of pizza is smiling, then it has to have a speech bubble!

Thanks for stopping by today, and thank you, Kelly Marie, for sharing this card on the LF Blog this morning!! :)

Cute Butterfly Card

Hi everyone! I'm here to share a card with you that features one of Sunny Studio Stamps newest sets - Backyard Bugs!

I really like how this card turned out! I started by stamping the butterfly onto patterned paper and then using the coordinating die to cut out two butterflies from each paper. I attached the first butterfly to the card base, and attached the second butterfly in the middle so that I could fold the wings up a little bit. Here is a close up on the butterflies:

The sentiment is from the Backyard Bugs set and the banner is from the Sunny Borders set. That banner is great to help highlight sentiments!

Well, thanks for stopping by today! Have a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #122 - Watercoloring

Good morning! I hope that everyone had a nice weekend! We finally put away the Christmas decorations and put the house back in order. It's nice to have things back in place, but it always makes me sad to put away the decorations. Until next year! :)

It's time again for another Lawnscaping Challenge! The theme this week is watercoloring!

Watercoloring looks so pretty, but I'm really not that good at it, so this is the best that I could manage! I used a smoosh technique to create this multi-colored background.

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Bugs and Kisses" stamp and die, and Stitched Square Stackable dies. I started by making the watercolored background and once it was dry, I used the square dies to cut it out. I also used two of the square dies together to make the white frame around the images. The images are all colored with Prismacolor pencils and attached with foam tape. Here is a close up on the card:

Please ignore the "g" in bug. I must have moved the stamp block while I was stamping the sentiment. Opps!

You have until Wednesday, January 27th to play along and the winner will receive a free stamp set from Lawn Fawn! I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! :)

Sunny Studio Stamp Rain or Shine

Hi there! I hope that things are going well with you! It has finally started to feel like winter here. We had our first snow accumulation on Tuesday. Brr! The schools even had an early dismissal because the roads were starting to get pretty slippery. I don't mind the snow as long as I am watching it from inside my warm house! :)

Anyways, this is the perfect card to share with you this morning because it reminds me that spring will be here soon!

This colorful card features one of Sunny Studio Stamp's newest stamp set, Rain or Shine! This set is so cute and is perfect for creating cards for the spring! I started by stamping the rainbow and clouds onto white card stock, coloring them with Prismacolor pencils, and die cutting them with the coordinating dies.

I also added a smiley face onto the clouds from one of Lawn Fawn's stamp sets, but you could easily draw on the smiley face with a black marker. The clouds and rainbow are attached with foam tape, and then I stamped the hearts and sentiment.

To finish the card, I added a colorful border cut from Lawn Fawn's Stitched Scalloped Border dies. That colorful patterned paper that I found in my stash is perfect for this rainbow card! :)

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week! I'm hoping that this snow goes away soon, but I think it's going to be here for a while now!

Love Ya Watts & Watts

Good morning! I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend! My daughter and I are getting over a cold so we spent most the weekend on the couch with tissues and movies. Hopefully our colds will go away soon!

This morning, I have a card to share with you that is being featured on the Lawn Fawn blog this morning!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Turn Me On" stamp and die, as well as "Flirty Frames" stamp set (for the love ya), "Riley's ABCs," "Wild Rose" ink, and Sweetheart Lawn Trimmings. My husband used to tell me a joke about light bulbs, and I have no idea what the joke was, but the punchline was "love ya watts and watts," so I knew that would make a great card with this light bulb set!

This is also my first card that I have used Copic markers on! I bought a few yellow Copics to practice coloring with and to see if I liked them, and I am definitely hooked! I can't wait to get some more colors. Any suggestions on which colors I should get next? Anyways, here is a close up on the card:

Thanks for stopping by today, and thank you Kelly Marie for featuring this card on the Lawn Fawn blog!! Did you see the new products that Lawn Fawn will be releasing in February?! Every thing is so cute and I can't wait for everything to be available! Yay!

Thanks again and I hope you have a great day! :)

Lawnscaping #121 - Winter Wonderland

Hello and Happy New Year! I can't believe that 2015 is already over - that year went by fast! But, I am really looking forward to this year and to some new and exciting things that are happening with my family! :)

Anyways, it's time for the first Lawnscaping Challenge of the year! Yay! The challenge is to create a winter-themed project. We had a few snow flurries this week, but we haven't had any snow accumulation in central PA yet. I'm not looking forward to the snow!

Here is the card that I created for this challenge:

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Critters in the Arctic," "Love You S'more" (for the moon), "Baaah Humbug" (for the bow and present), and "Winter Gifts" (for the sentiment). I also used some patterned paper from American Crafts "Everyday" paper pack. I saw it recently at Target and it was just so cute that I had to get it!

I mirrored stamped the bunny on the left so that the bunnies were looking at each other. I had to trace the outline of the bunny because it didn't stamp very dark, so that's why he looks kind of funny. Oh well, I think it still turned out cute!

I hope that you're able to play along with this first challenge of the year! The winner will receive a $25 gift certificate from Ellen Hutson!

Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create! :)
