Love is in the Air!

Good evening! I'm just here to post a quick card that I made today for the Moxie Fab World's Tuesday Trigger! You should definitely play along because this week's photo is so neat!

I really liked the little banner in the cake, so I used that as my inspiration and created this:

I have had this idea for a while but couldn't figure out how to make it and today it just worked! I stamped some clouds from Lawn Fawn's "Bon Voyage" stamp set to make a light background. Then I paper pieced the "love", birds, and hearts. The words and birds are glued right onto the twine which was wrapped around the card stock and mounted onto the base! I think it's so cute!

Well, it's getting late and I really need to pack. My husband and I are going on vacation this weekend! Woo! I hope you have a great weekend, too!

Congrats Agains!

Hi everyone! There is so much going on over here! My husband is busy getting things ready for a new job and we're trying to find a new place to live - we're even contemplating buying a house! Crazy! We're so excited for this new opportunity and we're excited to see how God will use us in the next few years!

Even though things are hectic right now, I had to make sure that I entered a card into this week's Lawnscaping Challenge! The challenge was to create a card inspired by this photo:

I really liked the yellow dresses in the pictures, and summer is the season of weddings, so I used my somewhat new stamp set to create this:

A close up to show the sparkles!

The background has yellow hearts all over it (so cute for a wedding card!). I cut out the dress, paper pieced a yellow sash onto it, and glued chunky glitter to the skirt of the dress. Then I cut out some hearts and music notes for around the dress and stamped "congrats!" at the bottom!

I hope you like it! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Congrats!

Hi there! It has been a while, but I have a good excuse! My husband has accepted a new job and we have been busy getting things ready to leave and trying to find a new place to live! We're super excited about this move and we hope we can find a place to live soon! This also means that I will probably have sporadic posts until we get settled into our new place. Moving is a lot of work!

But, I do have a card to share with you today! I made this card for a good friend who recently got engaged!

It's pretty simple, but I like it! I used Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs" and "Making Frosty Friends" (for the hearts). I added a glossy accent to the hearts to make them stand out a little bit more.

Well, enjoy your weekend! We are heading to a wedding today, which should be a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by!

Lawnscaping #37

Hi everyone! I hope your week's are going well so far! Things are well here - we're just trying to avoid the heat! This week is a little bit cooler, but it's still so hot! Yuck!

This week I made a card for the latest Lawnscaping Challege! It's all about dimensions. I had a hard time trying to figure something out at first, but I finally came up with this card:

I had the blue paper with the edges in my scrap pile, so I put that on the bottom and then cut out the clouds, moon, stars and "dream." I used foam adhesives to add some different dimensions (but it's hard to see in the picture). I used Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs," "Bon Voyage," and "Plus One" stamp sets. I also coated the "dream" with some grayish silver eye shadow that I found in my bathroom. I never use the eye shadow, so it's part of my craft stash now!

Well, thanks for looking at my card! Check out the other great cards in this challenge!

This card is also entered into the Young Crafter's Unite monthly challege - layers!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope that everyone is enjoying their 4th of July! To celebrate, I made a card!

This card features Lawn Fawn's "Quinn's ABCs," "Quinn's 123s," "Bake Me a Cake," (for the stars) and "Hat's Off to You" (for the "th" and "of"). Have a safe holiday and go watch some fireworks this evening!! :)
