LF Inspiration Week: Build-A-House Spring Add-On

 Hi everyone! We've been enjoying the gorgeous spring weather that we've been having here. I think my kids would stay outside all day if they could! Is it getting warmer in your area?

It's the final day of the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week and my card today features the Build-A-House Spring Add-On die set!

I started by creating the house with the Build-A-House dies and white shimmer cardstock. The roof and porch roof were added with pink dotted cardstock. The windows and doors were cut with light pink shimmer cardstock and have a light yellow cardstock behind each of them. It's so cute that the windows open up in the spring add-on set! I also really like the little flower box for the windows!

After assembling the house, I started to work on the background. I used a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and cut it with the Stitched Cloud Backdrop die and then ink blended it with distress oxide inks. I attached the cloudy sky to a white card base. Then, I added the hillside cut with the Simple Stitched Hillside Border and also ink blended with distress oxide inks. Using double sided tape, I added the hillside to the card.

Next, I started creating the rest of the scene by die cutting the fence from white cardstock, and the trees from the Stitched Tree Border with textured dot cardstock. I attached the fence with foam tape and glued the trees in place behind the hillside. My favorite part that I added was the mailbox that is included in the spring add-on set - how fun!

Once the house and background was assembled, I added a girl from the Tiny Friends set to the upstairs window to wave to her friends below. It looks like her friends came over to play! I also added a speech bubble from the A Birdie Told Me set to finish the card.

This is such a fun add-on die for spring, and it helps to create some of the cutest houses. Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you all have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: One in a Chameleon Flip-Flop

 Hi friends! I have more inspiration to share with you today for the Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Today, we're taking a look at the One in a Chameleon Flip-Flop stamp set.

Just like the other flip-flop sets, this one is a mirror image of the chameleon from the One in a Chameleon stamp set. I used both of the chameleons to create this card.

I really like to add little googly eyes to the chameleons, haha! They're so cute with the eyes!

To create the background for this card, I used the Cloudy stencil and Grassy Hillside stencil to ink blend with Mermaid and Freshly Cut Grass inks. I die cut the inked panel with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and attached it to a white card base. I added the chameleons and included logs and grass from the Toadally Awesome stamp set.

The sentiment features a Bannertastic banner and letters cut with Finley's ABCs and green texture dot cardstock. I finished by stamping a few pink hearts around the chameleons and tying a twine bow along the top.

LF Inspiration Week: Butterfly Kisses Flip-Flop and Long Distance Hugs

Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at two more products! 

My first card today features the Butterfly Kisses Flip-Flop stamp and die set. The fox in that set is the mirror image of the fox from the Butterfly Kisses set, so I used the two foxes to create a fun, springtime scene.

I started by stamping the images onto white cardstock, coloring with Copics, and die cutting with the coordinating dies. Once the images were ready, I started working on the background. I created a mini slimline card base which measures 3 1/2" x 6". I cut another piece of white cardstock the same size as the card base, and I ink blended it with Broken China and Tumbled Glass distress oxide inks. I used the Simple Grassy Hillside dies to create the grass and ink blended it with Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron distress oxide inks.

 After attaching the sky and grass pieces with double sided tape, I started arranging the images onto the card. Some of the images are attached with foam tape, and the rest are attached with liquid glue. I finished by adding a white heat embossed sentiment from the Butterfly Kisses Flip-Flop set and die cut it with the Everyday Sentiment Banner.

My second card today uses the Long Distance Hugs set to create a clean and simple card.

I started by making the background by dry embossing the Fancy Lattice Backdrop die onto Fog cardstock. I don't like all of the little pieces, so I usually emboss the backdrop die instead of cut with it! I also added a white frame around the backdrop with the Stitched Rectangle Frame. 

I stamped, colored, and cut the images from the Gleeful Gardens stamp set - one of my favorites! After arranging the images, I attached them to the background.

Then, I started working on the sentiment. The first part of the sentiment from the Long Distance Hugs set was white heat embossed onto black cardstock. For the hugs, I rubbed my embossing ink pad onto white cardstock, added gold embossing powder, and heat set the powder. Once it was dried, I used the "hugs" die to cut out the gold embossed paper. It created such a fun detail on that die cut!
