Lawn Fawn & Hero Arts Blog Hop (Plus a giveaway!)

Hi friends! I'm so excited to be sharing a card with you today that features the new Partners set from Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn!

Hero Arts is celebrating 45 years in the crafting industry, and to help them celebrate, Lawn Fawn designed this adorable set called Big ThanksIsn't it so cute?! You can find the stamp and die set at the Hero Arts store.

To create my cards, I started by stamping the images onto Bristol Smooth 80lb cardstock with Lawn Fawn's Jet Black ink. That ink is perfect to use with Copic markers! I colored all of my images with Copic markers, and used the coordinating die cuts to cut them out.

To create the background scene, I cut white cardstock with the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackable die along with the Grassy Border and Stitched Hillside Borders.

After the backgrounds were cut out, I ink blended the cardstock with different Lawn Fawn inks including, Mermaid, Cilantro, Freshly Cut Grass, Doe, and Pizza Crust. I also used a few distress oxide inks mixed with water to flick some color to the backgrounds.

I used the A Birdie Told Me stamp set and stamped the sentiment inside a speech bubble to make it stand out against the scene. And because it's so cute to make it look like animals are talking, haha! I also stamped the "thanks" and "thank you" sentiments slightly offset with Guava ink.

LF Inspiration Week: Offset Sayings: Christmas

Good morning everyone! I hope that you're having a great week so far!

The Lawn Fawn design team is sharing projects today that feature the Offset Sayings: Christmas stamp set. This new set is so neat and there are so many fun ways to use this set! I used this set to create a fun, rainbow colored Christmas card!

I used a whole bunch of Lawn Fawn inks - a dark shade and light shade for each color. You really can't go wrong in the colors that you choose! I started with a piece of white cardstock and I began stamping the sentiment by starting in the middle. I stamped it at an angle, and then used that middle row as my reference for the other rows. It's definitely not perfect, but I love how it turned out! I first stamped the dark outline sentiment, and then went back and stamped the inside colors once all of the outlines were done.

Since the background is so busy, I made the sentiments simple by white heat embossing them onto black cardstock so that they popped against the background. I also added a few clear sequins around the sentiment for some extra detail. This card took a little bit of time with all of the stamping, but it turned out so neat!

Make sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration with this stamp set! Thanks so much for stopping by and for all of your sweet comments this week! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Yeti or Not

Hi friends! Yeti or not, the Lawn Fawn Inspiration continues today with a look at another new Christmas stamp set, hehe!

We're sharing projects today that feature the adorable Yeti Or Not stamp set. Aren't those yetis so cute?! The yeti, along with the hearts, present, hat and scarf, are stamped in black ink and colored with Copic markers.

To create the background, I cut a piece of white card slightly smaller than my card base, and used the Shadow Box Card Mountain Add-On die to cut an opening in the cardstock panel. I added a piece of ink blended cardstock behind the panel, and I also flicked on some Liquid Stardust mixed with water. It's hard to tell in the picture, but it's so pretty in person! I also die cut the trees, ink blended them, and attached them to the cardstock panel. I stamped the sentiment in black ink, then I attached the white panel and yeti with foam tape. I finished the card by adding a twine bow along the top. Here's a closer look at the card:

This card turned out so cute and it would be great to mass produce for winter birthdays!

Thanks so much for stopping by today, and I hope that you all have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Foursquare Backdrop

Good morning friends! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues with a look at the Foursquare Backdrop die!

This die is so fun and is great to use to create smaller scenes on cards. To create this card, I used images from the Ho-Ho-Holidays and Holiday Helpers stamp sets. The first scene is Mrs. Claus getting Santa fed for his long trip (haha!), then the elves are handing off the gifts that they worked on, the gifts then get passed to Santa to check off of his list, and then Santa flies away to deliver the gifts.

The sentiment was created by white heat embossing onto black cardstock and die cut with the Everyday Sentiment Banner. The outline of the foursquare backdrop and the sentiment are attached with foam tape and the rest of the images are attached with glue. For the background, I ink blended a blue sky with Faded Jean and Broken China distress oxide inks, stamped a few snowflakes with the Faked Jean ink, and added a snowy hill cut with the Stitched Hillside Border die.

LF Inspiration Week: Christmas Fishes

Hi everyone!! I hope your weekend is going well! The Lawn Fawn design team is sharing projects today that feature the Christmas Fishes stamp set!

I created this card by stamping, coloring, and die cutting a bunch of images from the Christmas Fishes stamp set. How cute is the seaweed tree?!

The background is created by ink blending with Lawn Fawn's Mermaid and Fish Tank ink. The sand is die cut with the Stitched Hillside Borders and ink blended with Doe ink.

The sentiment is created with Bannertastic banners and Riley's ABCs. I also used the Say What? Christmas Critters set for the "sending Christmas" part of the sentiment. I finished the card by stamping a few air bubbles in the background. Here's a closer look at the card:

Hi friends! I hope you're all having a great week! I have some Christmas tags to share with you that feature the Snow Globe Gift Tag die set!

I used the die set, along with the Christmas Fishes stamp set, to create these underwater Christmas tags. The backgrounds and sand is ink blended with Distress Oxide inks, and the images are colored with Copic markers. I used the Silver Sparkle Lawn Trimmings to add twine at the top of the tag. I also added a few accents to the bottom of the snow globe with images from the Mermaid For You and Manatee-rific stamp sets.

LF Inspiration Week: Ho-Ho-Holidays

Hi everyone! Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week continues today with a look at the Ho-Ho-Holidays set.

I created a slim line card that measured 3 1/2" by 8 1/2". I created a white card base and cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock that was slightly smaller than the card base. I used Broken China and Faded Jean distress oxide inks to create the background.  I also flicked the background with white ink mixed with the Liquid Stardust for some extra sparkle.

The images are stamped with black ink and colored with Copic markers. I added a red nose to the first reindeer to make it Rudolph! The sentiment is white heat embossed in the sky, and I also added a bunch of stars from the Spooky Village stamp set. Here's a closer look at Rudolph and that sparkly background:

LF Inspiration Week: Mice on Ice and Stitched Pond

Good morning friends! It's time for the September Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! This week, we will be sharing inspiration featuring more of the products that were released in August.

Today, we are sharing projects that feature the Mice On Ice stamp set and the Stitched Pond die.

I cut the pond from the Pearlescent Vellum and lightly inked the edges with blue ink. It's so pretty in person! I used the Stitched Hillside Borders to create the snowy hills and I added a bunch of trees colored with Copic markers. The background is ink blended with Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar distress oxide inks. Here's a close look at the card:

I also created a second card that uses the same sets, but I used the Snow Day Remix patterned paper for the sky and border. I think those two mice are so cute holding hands!

To create the border, I used the two largest Stitched Square Stackables die, but you could also use the Stitched Square Frames die. Here's a closer look at this card:

Snow Bunnies STAMPtember Exclusive

Hi everyone! Are you excited to see the Lawn Fawn exclusive STAMPtember set at Simon Says Stamp!? Here's a look at the Snow Bunnies stamp set!

This set is so adorable! It is only available at Simon Says Stamp while supplies last, so if you like this set, make sure that you place your order as soon as possible!! The Lawn Fawn STAMPtember set usually sells out fast!

These bunnies are so cute, and they are ready for winter! My favorite bunny is the one with the floppy ears!

I couldn't make just one card with this set, so I created a card trio! The backgrounds are all created by using white embossing powder and heat embossing the falling snow from the Snowy Backdrops stamp set. That's my favorite background set to use for winter cards! Then, I ink blended the background with tumbled glass and broken china distress oxide inks. Then, I used the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables to add the stitching detail around the edge.

The hillsides are created from white cardstock cut with the Stitched Hillside Borders die. Once the scenes were created, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut a bunch of bunnies, trees, and carrots. And of course an adorable snow bunny! How cute is that snow bunny with his snow ball tail?!

I added the images with foam tape or liquid glue (most of the trees are attached with glue). Then, I white heat embossed the different sentiments onto black cardstock, cut them out, and attached them with foam tape. I finished the cards by stamping a few hearts in Wild Rose ink.

There's more inspiration on the Lawn Fawn blog. Don't forget to order this exclusive STAMPtember set before it sells out!!

Thanks so much for visiting today and I hope you have a great day! :)
