LF Inspiration Week: Plan On It: School

Good morning friends! Did you place your order for the new Lawn Fawn products that are now available? I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

The Lawn Fawn design team is back again today to share projects with you that feature the Plan On It: School stamp set. My daughter starts kindergarten on Monday (how is that possible?!) and so I used the images from the planner set to create a card for her first day of school!

I used the owls from the So Owlsome stamp set and gave them a bunch of school images to hold. The small images in the planner sets are perfect to pair with the critters! The sentiment is created with the words from the plan on it set, the Bannertastic stamp set, and Smitty's ABC's. I arranged the images on a piece of white cardstock cut from the second largest Outside In Stitched Rectangle die and layered that on a piece of Fall Fling patterned paper cut from the largerest Outside In Stitched Rectangle die. Here's a closer look at the card:

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a great weekend! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Tiny Gift Box Peacock

Hi friends! The Lawn Fawn release week continues today with a look at the new Tiny Gift Box Peacock and Turkey Add-On die.

This die works with the Tiny Gift box and can be made into a peacock or a turkey. I love that you can get two different looks with the same die! I used the die today to create a peacock.

I used a variety of Lawn Fawn cardstocks to create the peacock including Blue Jay, Peacock, Cilantro, Ballet Slipper, Fake Tan, and Sunflower. It's a little tedious to put all of the little pieces together, but it's pretty straightforward. My favorite part of this die is that the box opens when you pull on the center feather. So cute!

Thanks for visiting this week and for all of your sweet comments! All of the new products will be available tomorrow, August 22nd! I can't wait to see what everyone makes with the new goodies! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Trees Before 'n Afters

Hi friends! I hope you're having a great week! :)

This card was shared on the Lawn Fawn blog and on the Whimsipost social media pages yesterday (Facebook and Instagram), but I forgot to share it on my blog. Opps! So here are the details on this card:

This card features the new Trees Before n' Afters stamp set! This set includes four different trees - one for each season of the year! I started by stamping and coloring each of the trees and different accessories with Jet Black ink and coloring them with Copic markers. I die cut the images and set them aside while I worked on the background.

The background features the new Foursquare Backdrop die cut from Storm Cloud cardstock. I also used the backdrop die and cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock and ink blended each of the rectangles with distress oxide inks. I created a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" cardbase, attached the outline from the backdrop die, and then attached the inside rectangles into the backdrop die. I stamped the season names on each of the rectangles, and then glued the trees and accessories into place. To finish, I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock, die cut it with Everyday Sentiment Banners, and attached it with foam tape.

LF Inspiration Week: Outside In Stitched Pumpkins and Stitched Pumpkin Frames

Good morning everyone! Did you have a good weekend? We have one week left of summer here - where did the summer go?!

The Lawn Fawn Release Week continues today with a look at the Outside In Stitched Pumpkins and Stitched Pumpkin Frames.

I used orange, green, black, and kraft cardstock from Lawn Fawn to create the pumpkin. Then, I attached the pumpkin to the new Gold Rush cardstock (it's so pretty!). I used Finley's ABCs die cut from orange cardstock for the sentiment. And the sentiment that is white heat embossed on black cardstock is from the Pick of the Patch stamp set.

Stop by again tomorrow for more inspiration! Thanks so much for visiting and have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Build-A-House and Tiny Halloween

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying the inspiration this week for the Lawn Fawn Release Week. Inspiration continues today with a look at the Build-A-House die!

This die is so fun! And this house die would be fun to use for shaped cards, too! For my cards today, I used a variety of Lawn Fawn cardstocks to create two new home cards.

I created two similar houses and placed them in different scenes. For the first card, I used the Birch Tree and Simple Grassy Hillsides die to create the scene. I also used the Scripty Congrats die for the sentiment, along with the Extra Sentiment Banner die and Happy Village stamp set.

The second card features the same house in a different color, but in a different background scene as well. For this card, I used the Stitched Hillside Backdrop, Little Picket Fence Border, and Leafy Tree Backdrop die.

I also have another card to share with you that features the new Tiny Halloween stamp set. This set is sized to perfectly fit inside the upstairs window of the house die, but it can also be used on it's own.

I used the Bannertastic stamp set and Riley's ABCs to create a custom sentiment. The background is lightly ink blended with purple ink in the middle and then splattered with black and orange ink for some extra details. I added the sentiment, and then added the images from the Tiny Halloween set around the banner. The speech bubbles are from the Hay There and Be Hap-pea stamp sets. Here's a closer look at this fa-boo-lous card:

I hope you like the cards! Thanks so much for visiting and make sure to check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Fortune Teller Tabby

Good morning friends! I hope you are enjoying the inspiration from the Lawn Fawn Release Week! We still have lots of more inspiration to share with you before the new products become available on August 22nd.

Today, we are sharing projects that feature the Fortune Teller Tabby set. I stamped the kitty, along with the cats from the Say What? Pets and Keep On Swimming sets, colored them with Copic markers, and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

The background was created by ink blended purple distress oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth cardstock. Then, I used the new Liquid Stardust mixed with water, and flicked it onto the background with a paint brush. The picture doesn't capture how pretty and sparkly the background is! It's sooo pretty!! I finished the background by adding a floor cut from the Woodgrain cardstock and trim cut from Storm Cloud cardstock. I also added some sequins to the background and tied a bow along the top with the new Eggplant Lawn Trimmings. Here's a closer look at the background:

I hope you like the card! I'll be back again tomorrow with more inspiration to share with you! Have a great day! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Flippin' Awesome

Hi friends! I hope you're all having a good week so far! Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? We're just going to relax at home and enjoy the last few days before the craziness of the school year starts!

Anyways, the Lawn Fawn Release Week continues today with a look at the new interactive die, Flippin' Awesome. This die is so fun and it's so easy to put together!

I used the new die to create a birthday card with the Hay There stamp set. I also added birthday gifts and party hats from the new Yeti Or Not. The hats are technically winter hats, but they work for party hats, too. The background is created with blue and green cardstock cut with the Grassy Border. I also used the banner die that is included in the Flippin' Awesome set to add the sentiment, which is white heat embossed onto Narwhal cardstock. Here's a look at the inside panel:

It's so much fun to slide the card back and forth. It slides so smoothly! Here's a look at each of the panels in the card:

It's so neat! Check out the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration and to enter the giveaway. Thanks so much for stopping by today! :)

LF Inspiration Week: Spooky Village

Good morning! It's the first day of the Lawn Fawn Release Week, yay!! This week, the design team will be sharing projects that feature the new fall and Halloween products. Everything will be available for purchase on Thursday, August 22nd, so start planning your wish list! :)

Today, I have a card to share that features the Spooky Village stamp set. These houses coordinating with the other village stamp sets, but they add a spooky twist with fun details like the boarded up window and spider webs. I really like those spooky trees, too!

I created an ink blended sky with Distress Oxides inks. I used the Stitched Hillside Backdrop for the grassy hills, and also ink blended them with Distress Oxide inks. The houses, trees, ghosts, and tomb stones are all colored with Copic markers. I arranged them on the scene, attaching them with liquid glue, and also stamping a few bats in the sky. Then, I added a full moon in the sky, cut from the new Gold Rush cardstock with the Sun and Moon die, but you could also use any of the circle stackable dies. That new cardstock is a sparkly gold paper and it looks so neat as a moon! Then, I added a tree cut from black cardstock with the Leafy Tree Backdrop die and finished by adding the sentiment cut from the Simple Wavy Banners die.

Stop by the Lawn Fawn blog for more inspiration with this stamp set and don't forget to enter the giveaway on the LF blog! I'll be back again tomorrow to share more inspiration with you! Have a great day! :)

Jungle Friends with Hello Bluebird

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a great day today! We have two weeks left of summer here, so we are trying to squeeze in as much fun as we can before school starts.

Anyways, I have a fun jungle card to share with you that features products from Hello Bluebird!

The critters in this set are from the More Jungle Littles stamp set. Just like the end of my summer, I tried to squeeze in as many critters are I could, haha! All of the animals are stamped onto Neenah 80lb white cardstock and colored with Copic markers. For the background, I die cut the grass with the Simple Grassy Hillsides die from Lawn Fawn. Then, I used distress oxide inks to ink blend a sky and the grass, and I also added a few splatters with black ink for more details. Splattering ink is definitely outside of my crafty comfort zone, but I really like how it turned out!

I attached all of the grass and animals to the card base, and I added a few leaves behind the animals. Then, I white heat embossed the sentiment from the Cheery Greetings stamp set. The "friend" square is also from that greetings stamp set, and it is attached with foam tape. Here's a closer look at the card:

Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you have a great week! :)

A Little Bird Birthday Card with Hello Bluebird

Hello friends!

I hope you're all having a great summer so far! Did you get a change to take any vacations or do anything fun yet? We recently took a short trip to Lancaster, PA to visit some of the local attractions and to just enjoy some time away. My kids favorite part, of course, was the hotel pool, haha!

Anyways, I have a birthday card to share with you today that features the Silly Birds stamp set from Hello Bluebird!

A friend recently asked me to create a birthday card for her with flamingos, so this set was perfect to use! I stamped and colored three flamingos with Copic markers. I also stamped and colored a few balloons, party hats, and hearts. You can't have a birthday party without balloons and party hats! I also stamped and die cut a speech bubble with a pink heart inside from the Hay There stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

The background is ink blended with Distress Oxide inks onto Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used Cracked Pistachio and Broken China ink and lightly spritzed the paper with water. After I attached the background to a white 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base, I attached the images with glue or foam tape. I finished by heat embossing the sentiment onto black cardstock, die cutting it with an Everyday Sentiment Banner, and attaching it with foam tape.

I hope you like the card! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you have a great week! :)
